Maison du Peuple
The Maison du Peuple is a workers’ club constructed in 1901-02 to designs of the architect Paul Charbonnier, with Art Nouveau interiors and sculpture by Eugène Vallin and Victor Prouvé. Funded by poet and engineer Charles Keller, originally from Alsace. Usually the interiors are not open to the public, but the façade does provide a significant example of a combination of Beaux-Arts and Art Nouveau design. Recommended for any walking tour of central Nancy.
