Chateau Lacanaud

Nous avons passé un très agréable sejour au château lacanaud tant par la qualité de l acceuil des propriétaires, leur gentillesse et leurs conseils, que par la beauté de la demeure, la finesse de la décoration et le soin apporté à l ameublement.Vraiment à découvrir,, cela vaut le détour.Thanks again.

Con mi pareja queríamos pasar un fin de semana largo fuera de España, pero dada la situación actual no queríamos volar. Descubrimos Chateau Lacanaud, ubicado en la idílica región de Dordogne, y a tan solo 5h en coche desde Girona. Las imágenes online del asombroso Chateau y sus alrededores no le hacen justicia. Disfrutamos de un desayuno francés inmejorable con productos frescos y locales en la terraza. También exploramos el pintoresco mercado de Issigeac por recomendación de los encantadores anfitriones, así como el pequeño pueblo de Eymet. Liz y Jonny no podrían haber sido más serviciales e hicieron que nuestra estancia fuera inolvidable.Definitivamente volveremos en verano para probar la piscina (y el lago… si somos suficiente valientes!). ¡Gracias por todo, un abrazo!

Wonderful wedding venue. Lots of lovely little places in the ground s to sut in the shade. The pool was a life-saver in the scorching heat

A beautiful and grand house in Eymet, just outside Bergerac. We had a party of 15 stay here and it was fabulous. A local chef (Lucy) came to cook for us and we had a nice short walk into Eymet.Great pool, wonderful grounds and fab rooms. Great place to stay.

“We were so lucky to have the opportunity to spend two weeks at the wonderful Chateau Lacanaud this summer. It was everything we had hoped for - from the gorgeous setting in the French countryside, to the beautiful interiors and grounds of the chateau itself and the wonderful hospitality of Jonny and Liz. Many a happy days were spent by the pool, and enjoying delicious food cooked by Lucy on the terrace. We felt so fortunate to have found such a gem and cannot wait to return!”

We had the best day of our life at Chateau Lacanaud! We got married there in August 2022 and it was a dream from start to finish. From the moment we checked in to the day we left, Jonny and Liz were a pleasure to deal with and the venue and setting is simply stunning. We also used Nicole from Marry Me in France as planner and everything was organised beautifully. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Chateau in great location with fabulous hosts.We stayed for 4 nights in the Master bedroom of the Coach House. Spacious and beautifully decorated room with its own terrace.Amazing facilities and stunning grounds. Cant wait until we come and stay again!

Château Lacanaud is a stunning venue.It has everything you can ask for. From the massive garden to the lovely lake, it ticks all the boxes for hosting a wedding or big event.It was a real pleasure to have played at the venue and meet the owners who are nice down to earth people.

We stayed at the chateau with a group of friends and family to celebrate my 50th birthday. From the minute we arrived and we’re greeted by Jonnny and Liz we felt at home. The chateau and grounds are breathtakingly beautiful and provided us with the perfect location for a relaxed but luxurious break. Jonny and Liz were the perfect hosts, on hand with advice and to answer any questions we had. We walked into the beautiful town of Eymet for a long lunch in the square and used Lucy (the recommended chef) for all other meals. The food was all fabulous. I really can’t rate the chateau highly enough , the perfect location for a celebration. We all fell in love with the palace and will definitely be back.
