Alamo Rent A Car - Aéroport de Carcassonne

Personnel très sympa et accueillant mais étant arrivée un peu plus tôt personne n'a pensé à me prévenir qu'en prenant le véhicule 30 minutes plus tôt, une journée COMPLÈTE supplémentaire serait facturée. Bien entendu, le rendre une demi heure à l'avance n'est pas déduit...Modification : après un appel au service client, un remboursement a été effectué. Il faut s'être fait avoir une fois pour le savoir... Mis à part ça aucun soucis avec la location et le personnel.

Avoid these scammers at all costs. They closed the counter and left families stranded because our flight was delayed by 1 hour. They refused to refund the first day of rental that we paid for but didn't use. They gave us a car with a half-empty tank and then charged us 80 euros at the end for refuelling despite promising in writing that we don't have to return it with a full tank. Worst experience I've had with a car rental company. If this review saves at least one person from having to deal with these scamming, lying scumbags, it will be worth all the hassle.

We rented a car in Carcassonne, unfortunately we got to get it on Sunday. This is bad because they close from 12:00 to 14:00 (it is on their opening hours, I knew that already) but also because whoever is working there at that day has his mind in someplace else. The guy that check us in gave a very, very (I cannot stress enough) car, with 50K Kilometers and noisy, did not wanted to explain about insurance or about anything else to be honest. He asked if we wanted to drive outside France and said this would cost 55 euros more (Maybe trying to sell?), but they did not told us in any moment about crit'Air driving restrictions in France (Yes, I should known better, but they could have told), not when you are renting, not when you are picking the car up, I believe ALL serious car rental should have the crit'Air stickers in their cars. Turns out their cars do not have crit'Air stickers in the windscreen which pretty much disallow you to drive in many places in France, such as Marseilles, Nice, Aix-en-Provence and many others. Costing around 5 euro per car, I cannot really understand why they do not buy those stickers, since only the owner can do that. Maybe they are expecting people that rent cars to be fined? Overall we managed to avoid problems (hopefully) but that is quite disappointing.

Very friendly, helpful and professional staff.Complimentary upgrade to a larger car (I'm sure that they ran out of the size that we ordered, but at least didn't try to offer a smaller one).Used to hire car companies at Toulouse airport and it was like night and day in comparison (Toulouse hire car companies are appalling).

Good experience renting a car here. Ordered a Passat Estate or similar. Was given a Renault Scenic which is probably similar enough. Car was pretty new with less than 2000 km on the clock. It was delivered with half a tank of petrol which I returned 3/4 full as it is very hard to get back to half accurately hence I prefer full to full but rental companies are clever people. I made a big show of taking a very detailed 4k walk around video before signing the documents and I was glad I did. Upon returning the car it was subjected to a very high detail examination by the lady conducting the return. Nothing was wrong but be aware that it is very likely you will be paying for any marks or scratches etc that you cannot prove were there beforehand. Overall good car, quick service & great price. Would use again.

Car hire desk closed 12-2 and we were not notified on booking via economy car rentals. We then had an unexpected wait with tired children which was not a pleasant start to our holidays. However on returning the car, an addition €53 was charged on return of our deposit and despite several emails we have yet to have any correspondence back on why this charge was levied which has prompted me to advise future users of the service to be cautious in choosing Alamo via economy car rentals.Car was also not the type chosen at booking stage which barely accommodated our luggage.

Booked the mini SUV car, on the arrival small compact car was offered insted.Car was filthy with hiden damages which I did not spotted as they were so small.I find out when I have returned the car where one of the staff pointed the damages which were not even visable but they have charged my account additional €1000 to cover the cost. Waited for 2 months to receive the invoice for the repair. Cost of the repair was €200 but the letter stated that I do not qualify for the refund.Staff was very unfriendly and not supportive.This company is a scam.I do not recommend this company.Avoid.

Je suis toujours très stressée quand à louer une voiture de location, car il y a souvent des arnaques. Ici très contente du service j'ai biensur pris l'assurance cela m'a coûté 100 € par jour au total pour une Fiat 500 et aucun souci . Personnel très agréable. Je recommande
