The best thing we did on our trip to the Notre-Dame Cathedral was take the free walking tour of the building.Our guide (a volunteer for 15 years) was amazing and started by taking us all outside to talk about all the carvings on the front of the building and it's history. Every carving on the building is part of the overall biblical story. Once we finished outside the tour went back indoors and all over the inside of the cathedral, we even got to go back behind some of the roped off areas near the middle/back of the cathedral.Definitely recommend taking the tour because the history is jaw-dropping and besides it's free!The website for Notre-Dame cathedral gives all the details for the free daily walking tours, and guides are available for multiple languages too :)
