We stopped by for a quick (early) dinner. We had Irish stew and fish & chips, accompanied by Magners cider. Nice place, very friendly staff ! Thank you.

This Fish and chips not worth the 27chf even in switzerland nor on the moon. Super slow service, overall not worth a visit

1 yorkshire pud, 2 roast potatoes and 3 strangs of asparagus are not quite what we expected with a sunday roast for 35fr, although to be fair, the picture of the meal on the website looks about right. One of us had a full irish breakfast with pretty raw sausages. But, the rest was delicious, the dessert was a dream, the staff really friendly and the pub is beautiful. Hence, the 4 stars

Really nicely decorated bar in Klein Basel, with a terrace out front. There's live music downstairs from time to time, mostly on the weekend. The staff are friendly but not that the bar is pay-by-card-only, no cash accepted. You can order to the table, but it can be easier to order directly at the bar.

Lokal sehr typisch englisch und lässig. Das Essen war ok und Preis-Leistung stimmt. Für die Fischplatte auf dem Foto habe ich CHF 36.00 bezahlt. Dafür Bedienung sehr schlecht. Wir mussten lange auf das Essen warten. Mein Freund hat sich ein Burger bestellt. Erst nahinein kam der Kellner zu fragen, wie er es möchte, um dann 10 Minuten später zu sagen, dass diese Burger mit Brie ausverkauft sind und er musste sich etwas andres aussuchen. Bei Bezahlung hörte die Kellnerin überhaupt nicht zu, dass wir ein Beleg wollen und ging zu anderem Tisch während sie das Terminal für meine Zahlung noch bediente! Rennendes Personal finde ich nicht schön, es wirkt überfordert, unprofessionell und erzeugt hektische Stimmung.

I travel a lot as part of my job. This has to be the most beautifully designed Pub with impeccable details on keeping it true to the Irish culture I've ever seen. Being Irish myself I don't like when people use the Irish name and culture and then get it wrong. In this case they've got it perfect. I talked to the manager and found out the whole pub was designed by an Irish business that is ran by a father and son. They go to the location and then design everything from the ground up. Build it in Ireland and then take it apart. Ship it to the location (in this case The Auld Dubliner) and the rebuild it. Absolutely astonishing work has been done to make this bar aesthetically appealing in every way. The drinks and food menu are fantastic. Food is quick to your table as it seems they have thought of every process so the customer does not have to wait. Most staff seem to be Irish which is a rare thing in Irish bars these days. This is due to the fact businessman just open an Irish Pub to use the culture to make money. In this case it is pure Irish. Right down to the drawings on the walls of famous photos from Irish culture. The bathrooms and whole bar seems to be kept spotless with constant cleaning when customers have finished their food or drinks. Just watching the staff and the way the place is run is a joy to the Irish ways as hard working folk. I will definitely recommend The Auld Dubliner to anyone who actually wants to experience a real Irish Pub.

Quite disappointed with the new system in place for ordering. The prices seem to have inflated for getting less then what you use to get. CHF 9 for chips but extra CHF 2.50 for mayo or T sauce … crazy..Very nice vibe for pub quiz, and always a good Guinness

We went to this pub on the advice of our hotel, and Peter and staff were super friendly and insightful for us. Draft beers were great and cold. Crazy good times.
