Arched street entrance to Liais Park
This arched entrance to Liais Park from the street of rue de la Bucaille is a real treat. I was searching for the house that was the birthplace of Roland Barthes and did not expect the tantalising view through the archway beneath this nineteenth century public building. Can you read the exact date in Roman numerals? Henriette Binger would have known this place when she lived in rue de la Bucaille in November 1915 aged 22.
