La Banque Postale

I would not recommend this bank. Despite me speaking French, it was still very difficult as a foreigner to open an account with La Banque Postale. It took over a month from when I provided all the documents and signed the paperwork for the account to actually open - meaning I almost didn't get my first paycheck. Always difficult to get hold of a conseiller/conseillère due to frequent holidays. Closing the account from abroad was also very difficult and took a long time - despite me being confirmed as the account holder, I still had to send a proof of residence and a signed letter asking for the account closure (why?). I have had bank accounts in France with HSBC and in the Netherlands with ABN Amro and never had to do this. Everything could be done online. Seems La Banque Postale is very much stuck in the past. I was reluctant to bank with them as I know the poor reputation of their counterpart - La Poste. Unfortunately they were recommended by a friend and I decided to go with them.

Accueil disgracieux par une personne féminine asiatique. Pas de bonjour, pas de sourire, ne connaît pas son métier. Intérimaire ? Saisonnière ? Remplaçante ? Je ne sais pas. Aucune amabilité, par suite d'une demande d'informations pourtant simple, elle a à la limite levée les yeux au ciel heureusement qu'elle pianotait sur son téléphone (jeu, conversation ??), elle l'aurait fait. J'ai été à la limite de faire une réclamation auprès de sa hiérarchie.Le lieu est déjà très exigu. Donc à la limité par très accueillant mais si le personnel est désagréable. Fuyons vers d'autres cieux !!

La seule banque" si on peut la nommer comme telle à vous refuser un justificatif ( stipulé sur le dit document Total Energie) et ce juste pour un changement d'adresse.Impossible de mettre un terme à un prélèvement d'agence immobilière.Du personnel désagréable...Conseiller en envoi postal mais non bancaire. Finalement je les plains...Changement de banque ces prochains jours."
