Clean and well set out port, Ques are slow for ferry book-in and British passport control to get through. When parked up waiting for the ferry there is a large building containing duty free, toilets, shop upstairs and a cafe.

Der Ferryport in dover ist nun schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt vor Ort keinen Shop oder eine Bar, in denen man die Wartezeit überbrücken kann.Die Organisation ist gut und alles läuft wie am Schnürchen.

Both french and UK border control were extremely slow but the road surface is smooth and the duty free shop is big and well stocked.

Foot passenger terminal impossible to reach by public transport on a sunday, staff did not advise that we needed to take out our tickets after online booking, so we needed to run and get them. Besides, nice possibility to have a coffee while waiting and food passengers are well guided through security and border checks by bus.Beware if you have dangerous objects (pocket knife for camping), the ferry staff can take care of it while you go through security and check, but you need to tell them before. We had ours confiscated.

Très bien une fois trouvé....... Le personnel dans le port qu'on a rencontré très aimable et sympathique malgré l'heure (6 heures du matin).Le point négatif est que tout est fermé!Pas de magasin, pas de café - aucune heure d'ouverture signalée! Une dame qui faisait le ménage nous a informés que rien ne s'ouvre avant 9h30.
