Newly opened, Maison Itany is a great new location to purchase organic teas thoughtfully blended by an individual with years in the tea world. The store is gorgeous with wonderful displays and opportunities to smell the tea. I was served a great tasting sample upon entry.I met the owner and he's incredibly knowledgeable and very passionate about tea. He has single origins, blends and some herbal remedies (inspired by his mother who lives in Martinique). These teas are prepared at their facility in Bretagne.I purchasedKarnali - a Sencha green tea blend with sweet mint, mango, ginger and turmeric.Ishikari - a Jasmine green tea with pear, apple and rose. This is the tea where he pulled a massive book off his shelf to dive deeper into his thought process on putting together this blend and I loved it as it's an unexpected combo that smells heavenly.Balisier - an Assam black tea with guava and hibiscusGenmaicha - self explanatoryRadieuse - an infusion with apple, cinnamon, sage and a few others recommended for night time consumptionThe tea blends are named after rivers and Itany is a tiny river near his birthplace, the story behind it is beautiful and I can't do it justice here - ask him about it, he's gracious, patient and happy to answer.I happily support Small Businesses
