My friends had stayed at Le Banquet ten years ago and had raved about it. We did research and looked at all the beautiful pictures on the internet. The reality, however, far surpassed my greatest dreams. The welcome was outstanding. The decoration of the house was perfect. Every single pictures, pillow and bar of soap had been thought out to match and to make me feel relaxed and at home. There was not the smallest little thing missing. From beautiful dishes to a garlic press to fabulous books to a great selection of movies Le Banquet had everything you could hope to find. My favorite part was the setting - the flowers were incredibly varied and beautiful. The stream behind the house was so relaxing! The cows grazing across the way made me feel like I was in a unique paradise. I truly could not give Le Banquet a stronger recommendation.

We have recently returned from our holiday at Le Banquet and was instantly impressed by the beautiful gardens and facilities it had to offer. My 4 year old loved the climbing frame, games room and swimming pool.We stayed in Le Tournesol cottage and found it to be very charming, clean, well-furnished and enjoyed relaxing in the pretty terrace.Rob and Karen were very kind, helpful and friendly and we could not thank them enough for making our holiday such a stress-free and enjoyable experience. Such lovely people!!We hope to return as the Dordogne is absolutely beautiful and has some stunning places to visit including Sarlat and Marqueyssac. I highly recommend Parc Le Bournat too!

We have just returned from a lovely week at Le Banquet, with our daughter, son-in-law, and our two grandchildren. Both Karen and Rob were very welcoming and helpful on our arrival, and remained so during the week. Our accommodation was perfect, the inside being very clean and prettily furnished with lots of attention to detail, and an outside patio area within a few feet of a beautiful stream/river which we could hear babbling as we enjoyed our evening barbecues. The four acres of grounds were beautifully maintained with lovely shrubs and trees offering natural shade if needed. The weather was perfect, and we spent many hours at the ample pool, where our grandchildren, aged 10 and 8 had great fun with the four other children who were staying at Le Banquet at the same time. We also took advantage of the games barn which housed table tennis, poole, and many other toys and games for all ages. There was also plenty to see in the surrounding area, when we were able to tear the children away from the pool. Our only disappointment was that we only booked for one week!

We stayed in La Fermette for a week in September 2018, our biggest regret is that it wasn’t two. We were a party of six: Grandma, Grandad, daughter, son-in-law, 18 month old granddaughter and our labradoodle.Without doubt La Fermette is the most beautiful and best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed at in either France or the UK. Karen and Rob gave us a very warm welcome and we felt immediately at home.The grounds are fabulous, the babbling stream with grazing cows on the other side, idyllic. The children’s play area (Karen and Rob changed one of the swings to suit our granddaughter before she had even arrived), the swimming pool and extensive gardens and lawns.The house is extremely toddler friendly, stair gates, high chair, cot, monitor and eating equipment all to a very high standard, which makes for a more relaxed holiday for parents. It was really great to have access to the toys in the barn which could be borrowed and swapped during the week.We all had the best time and would highly recommend La Banquet for a holiday in south west France.

We've just returned from spending 2 weeks at Le Tournesol with our 2 children. Couldn't recommend highly enough. The gite had everything we needed and all to a top quality. The pool was a godsend as we had a mini heatwave and the gardens are beautiful especially with the stream running through. The gamesroom was a big hit with the children too. Karen and Robert are perfect hosts, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Hopefully we'll be back soon!!

My wife and 2 year old son, had a fantastic stay at Le Banquet in June 2019. The accommodation was lovely (we stayed in La Fermette), gardens were well presented and maintained, the pool area was great on sunny days, and the play barn was a real hit with our son on rainy days. Karen and Rob were great hosts who made us feel very welcome. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We have just returned from a fabulous week in what can only be described as the perfect Gite for a family holiday.Ideally positioned for access to the local area- we particularly enjoyed visiting the market, canoeing and high ropes.The owner’s attention to detail at the Gites is second to none- beautifully maintained gardens and pool, a games room and everything you could possibly need in the well equip gites- even a coffee machine and for those with younger children plastic plates and bowls.The owners were so attentive and happy to advise on places to visit in the local area- we lived every second and will definitely be back

We have just had a lovely week at Le Banquet with our two children (6 and 7). Karen and Rob were great hosts, there to help with anything we needed and great advice on local life.The accommodation was clean, well equip and felt very homely. Our children enjoyed the games room, swimming pool and exploring the grounds.The surrounding area is stunning and a canoe trip is highly recommended. Lots of local good food and wine!Would highly recommend and will be returning in the future :)

Schitterende accommodatie, we hebben twee geweldige weken gehad, alles op en top verzorgd, Paul en Claire zijn geweldig vriendelijke mensen waar niets te veel voor is, een echte aanrader en krijgen van ons een dikke 10.

Fabulous place - beautiful setting, Rob has done wonders for the garden and grounds. Such attractive buildings - 3 private gites; space to play football or other ball games, a large clean pool with security and lots of inflatables; a well equipped games room for all ages; everything one needs inside and outside. Our 3 bed gite had a huge top floor bedroom with comfy 5ft bed and en suite, a large eat in kitchen, big comfy sitting area, private patio with an amazing view of river, meadows (+ cows) and wooded hills. Very very relaxing. Great central location for all the Dordogne has to offer. We stayed over half term and I thought the cost for what we got was very reasonable... and last but by no means least - Karen and Rob - lovely people, so helpful and interesting to chat to and they clearly care about giving the highest level of service. The only minor negative was the quality of wifi - really thick stone walls.... but if you stand in the utility room, it's brilliant! Thank you Karen and Rob. We will certainly recommend, but then we don't want everyone to know! Sue and David
