A very well organised memorial to the Newfoundland soldiers that took part in the Great War.I'd recommend signing up for the free guide around the Memorial Park given by Canadian students . It's very interesting.There's a small shop, toilets and museum in the visitors centre.Definitely recommend a visit here.

Left the way it was during WW1 providing a true reflection of how close the battle was. A must see when travelling to the Somme region.

Humbling and sombre but a reminder to us all, just what these soldiers went through for us to be free. The Canadian students who run this amazing place are engaging and keen to help you understand the battle at Beaumont-Hamel. Truly worth a visit.

Newfoundland Park visitors center is een kleine museum. gratis te bezoeken en doorloopt de veldslagen die plaats vonden in Beaumont Hamel van de soldaten die gevochten en gestorven zijn. Er bevindt zich souvenirs en wc's. De personeel bestaat uit Canadese universiteit studenten die voor de commonwealth werken die weer instaat voor het onderhoud van de museum, memorials,monumenten, en begraafplaatsen

Sehr schöne Gedenkstätte an die gefallenen Kanadier, die im 1. Weltkrieg gekämpft haben. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und gehört der Regierung von Kanada. Auch das Personal ist kanadisch und sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich auf dem Gelände fast so, als wäre man tatsächlich in diesem wundervollen Land.Jederzeit ein Besuch wert um die gefallenen kanadischen Helden aus Neufundland zu ehren.

The tragic experience if the Newfoundland Regiment at the battle of Beaumount-Hamel is very clear at this battle site. It made me angry to see how 90% of the regiment died in about 10 minutes with most of them not even getting past the Danger Tree" in the middle. It is well worth the visit."
