If you are in Ay at the beginning of August, you won't have many choices for restaurants, as they are all closed. Get in your car and drive to Epernay. We searched the town on foot with 3 small children, so we had no choice but to eat here as it was the only open restaurant. The only thing on the menu was hot ham and cheese sandwiches. So we had 5 of them (with nothing else on the plate), one half pint of beer and four waters -- they charged us €45!!!!!! The sandwiches did taste good, but the cost did make me feel taken advantage of.

TOURISTS BEWARE! There are not many restaurants in town, and this place see tourists as marks. There are no menus and no prices. We had 2 of the Croque Monsieurs and 3 beers for 30 Euro. This is really extortion.

DO NOT GO HERE. There aren’t many places to go in this village and it is a tourist trap! They have no menus and no prices. We paid €20 for a terrible sandwich and Diet Coke. The man then snatched a drink out of my hand.

Horrible.Un sandwich de pain dur, margarine et très mauvais jambon (servi avec sa couenne bien sur), pour 6€, le tout sans aucune amabilité. Endroit à fuir à tout prix.
