I am a young professional who moved to Paris with no French. I had lessons with Violaine after one year of frustration with apps, Assimil, and a company-sponsored course for my English-speaking company that were above my level.My lessons with Violaine were transformative! She is such a kind and charming person, and I loved all of the conversations we had. She was so patient and gentle with my French, and gave incredibly useful feedback about what skills I needed to work on. She helped me discover that I could not only communicate in basic French, but even talk about interesting and relevant news topics too. My time with her made me feel not only empowered but highly motivated to study French.She was so careful and thorough in accommodating not only the course content but the lessons for my interests. I never felt bored in lessons; on the contrary, I had so much fun, and learned so much that I could share with the people around me. I felt like I learned both a lot about history, art, and authentic Parisian life.I ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend this school! I miss it a lot, and I hope I can go back.

This is exactly the type of French lessons I was looking for. In 9 months my French has improved greatly. Chloe is a wonderful teacher. Chloe's teaching style, patience and encouragement is perfect for the adult student. Each class is fun, educational and interesting.

Paris is not Paris without Violaine! She is not only an exceptional teacher, but also an invaluable resource for understanding French culture and arts. As a journalist and performing artist from New York, I was thrilled to have both casual conversations and deep dialogues with Violaine, en Français! She is remarkably adept at gently guiding a conversation that is equally engaging and instructive. More importantly, Violaine is incredibly generous and warm-hearted, and is the reason why learning and practicing the French language became the highlight of my time in Paris. She gave me the confidence to foster professional connections and realize that a little bit goes a long way. Fluency is not needed, simply the desire to learn and connect through conversation. I returned to New York having gained true friends and expanded my professional network - and I owe it to Violaine! Mille merci, I can't wait to come back!

I had such a lovely experience studying French with Chloé, through Bespoke French Lessons. We met for 10 private lessons throughout the summer, each time in a different neighborhood of Paris - it was an excellent way to quickly improve my conversation skills, and also a very fun way to get to know a new city. I felt that the course was perfectly tailored to my level and interests, that I was continually challenged, and that my french improved a lot over the course of the summer. I would highly recommend Bespoke French Lessons to anyone spending time in Paris!

We took a 2 day tour with Pierre. It was fantastic in every aspect. We enjoyed, we laughed, we learned. He is very knowledgeable , entertaining , with a great sense of humor and patient with a group. Pierre was an amazing guide and made our trip easier with other recommendations as well. We fully recommend Bespoke! Violaine was also very helpful in every arrangement. Would definitely recommend them and use their tours again on my next visit to Paris.

Je suis arrivé en France le février 2022 avec un niveau de français tellement basique, voire débutant. En raison de mon envie de passer un master en France j'ai cherché des cours de français et après explorer mes options, jai choisi ce service.Du coup, en raison de mon niveau basique et des besoins de mon master (français niveau C1 au minimum) tous les écoles de langue traditionnelles don't j'ai recensée ont estimée mon plan de évoluer 3 niveaux CEFR en environ 8 mois comme presque impossible. Malgré cela, Violaine a crée un plan de cours vraiment sur mesure" pour essayer d'atteindre à mon objectif.Après le début du novembre 2022 j'ai commencé un régime de 3h de cours intensifs chaque semaine sous la direction de Marie Hélène. Absolutely fantastic experience! I highly recommend Bespoke French Lessons. Violaine was an incredible teacher, she is fun, talkative, encouraging and has a ton of knowledge about everything Parisian.I was bilingual at 12 but then moved cities and spent the next 30 years forgetting what I had learnt. This summer I was in Paris for two weeks and decided to take some lessons with Bespoke. We did 2 hour lessons per day, some were sat down in different cafes and some were walking around different areas of Paris. I got to see and learn a lot about the city this way and the walks were great for stimulating my speech, which was my weak spot that I wanted to improve.After 7 lessons, a lot of my French came back, I gained a lot more confidence in speaking and I also learned a lot about Paris, history, the people, and saw different areas of the city.
