La Panière - Chamonix Whymper

Nice bakery to visit for a quick bite. The sandwiches were tasty and can be made warm upon request. Pastry were alright - not too sweet but taste was average. The sandwiches were a better option. Seats are available in store but it'll be limited during lunch time

Très bien située , à deux pas des bennes du téléphérique, les produits sont de qualité. On peut même y acheter un café et déguster les viennoiseries dehors où on peut s'installer sur une table.. Cool.. :-)

Good croissants and pain au chocolat....a large array of pastries, quiches, and bread. The outdoor seating was fantastic. Coffee was good, but I was disappointed that it was served in a paper cup and not a proper coffee mug...the staff was nice and friendly..

I went here twice because I was impressed the first time. I bought a pain au chocolat, flan, chicken baguette and chevre quiche. They were all outstanding and delicious at a very good price. This place got very popular and items sell out fast around lunchtime. I would definitely come here again should I return to chamonix. Much better than most places on the main street.

I usually do not write reviews and I tried contacting La paniere directly before writing here but could not find any contact information. I am hoping the management will see this and address the issue. At 12 pm today I went to the store. One of the employees was changing the garbage (taking the trash out and putting new bags in). She came directly to me and started serving me without having washed her hands after having touched the garbage bins and bags. When I was paying I politely told her that she should have washed her hands after handling garbage and before serving food. I didn't ask her to change my food or anything, I just politely told her that what she was doing was not hygienic. Instead of agreeing that what she did was not correct, she started telling me that I was being unreasonable and that she didn't touch the food directly and that if all her costumers were like me she wouldn't have been able to work! Not only this is common sense but it is also the law in France that in restaurants or food shops, employees HAVE to wash their hands after touching garbage and before handling food.I really hope that the management address this issue with their employees and in their training.

Déçu : je vais régulièrement à la panière dans d'autres villes pour le rapport qualité prix, fraicheur des produits. Là, prix exorbitant, 1 sandwich 5, 80€ , avec un thon sans mayonnaise sec... Très bof

Direction boulangerie Mendes ou richardla paniere une catastrophe le pain est immangeable pain blanc pas cuit sans aucun goût plus personne ne sait faire de pain dans cette ville un prix totalement exorbitant des salades totalement hors de prix je sais pas si je reviendrai un jour sauf pour les petites baguettes au chocolat et les grands pain au chocolat et les muffins en faite si on regarde la panière n'est plus une boulangerie mais un pâtissier

J'ai jamais vu un personnel aussi lent.. Si vous êtes pressés, passez votre chemin. 4 personnes devant moi = 15 min d attente et j'habite ici c est presque tout le temps le cas, alors que celle du centre ville est top, le personnel réactif et cool. Ici tout le monde est sous motivé....

Un des spots préférés de la rédaction à Chamonix pour apprécier l'aguille du midi ! Adresse pratique si on souhaite manger sur le pouce un petit sandwich entre deux remontées....
