Chateau Mareuil

Have just had a wonderful two night stay at Chateau Mareuil with my husband. We stayed in the Prince studio. It was a last minute booking and both Lee and Belinda couldn’t have been more accommodating. The chateau and grounds are both stylish and well kept while exuding a comfortable air which would appeal to couples and families of all ages. The swimming pool is a lovely asset. We would love to return with family and stay in the chateau bedrooms and have dinner. Lee very kindly gave us a tour and history of the chateau which was extremely interesting. Totally recommend.

Un pur moment de plaisir ! Belinda et Lee vous accueillent dans ce petit château chaleureux et plein de charme. On s'y sent comme chez soi. Petit déjeuner et repas du soir délicieux et copieux. Belle piscine pour l'été. Et puis le calme ! Il y en a pour tous les goûts : on peut venir en couple ou en famille. Toutes les chambres sont charmantes et adaptées. À essayer sans hésitation.

Chateau Mareuil -I can't say enough good things about this awe-inspiring medieval chateau. My mind is still reeling over the fact that we slept in a room built in the 1490s! It has 2 window seats where archers would have kept watch, and imagining the history of the place is just fascinating. It's a beautiful and cozy, yet spacious, bedroom with a luxurious bathroom, in the tower at the top of a spiral stone staircase. It's called the Prince Suite and it's wonderful - highly recommend you book that room if it's available!We stayed 2 nights and it was amazing and we  didn't want to leave. We've been following the lovely owners, Lee & Belinda, on their Chateau Mareuil YouTube channel for the past year. They were just as charming, funny, and knowledgable about the history of their chateau and the surrounding area as they seem to be in their videos. They were so warm and welcoming, and we loved talking to them about the amazing history, and what it's like being British ex-pats in France. Lee is quite a character with a million fantastic stories, which made for a lot of fun dinner conversation, and he was kind enough to give us a thorough tour of the grounds with lots of interesting historical facts too. Belinda's home cooked meals were absolutely stunning and so delicious - well worth ordering the dinner option when you book!The breakfasts were amazing as well - Lee picked up fresh bread and pastries each morning, and it was accompanied by a fabulous spread of yogurt, eggs, and more - a lovely way to start the day! The chateau is located in gorgeous countryside near a charming village - everything about it makes for a wonderful getaway! Make yourself a reservation - you will be delighted!

This is outstanding! The Chateau itself, the way it is furnished and decorated, the food, the welcome and helpfulness of Lee and Belinda...all just wonderful.We were a party of 7 cyclists, staying for just one night en route to Spain, but they provided washing facilities, beer (!) a very welcome dip in the pool and were outstanding hosts. There is no groundlight nearby, so the stars and sense of stillness were also amazing, contrasting with the wonderful birdsong the next morning.We will go back for sure.

super sejour au chateau Mareuil. Le lieu est magnifique, un vrai château, les chambres et les salles de bains sont spacieuses et décorée avec goût. le dîner et le petit déjeuner étaient excellents. et Belinda et Lee sont vraiment gentils et acceuilants, nos avons passé un excellent moment.

Genial! Belinda y Lee son muy amables y atentos, la comida es exquisita y el castillo es precioso. También organizan veladas muy animadas e interesantes. Ideal para descansar, desconectar y dejarse llevar.

We had a wonderful stay at chateau Mareuil and Belinda and Lee are the most amazing people. Very kind and welcoming. Belinda and Lee gave us a lot of great tips for activities in the surrounding area. Also, the studio was modern, with authentic touches from the chateau. The chateau and the area around it are absolutely stunning. I would recommend it to everyone! Thank you again!
