J'adore le CILFA!!

Really enjoying the course. The teacher is brilliant and everything is very well organised.

Through Cilfa, I was able to learn French the fastest and most effective way possible. Classes are composed of 12 students or less so the professors can really focus on teaching every student in the class. They offer free tutorials, phonetics classes, and conversation classes every week so everyone who’s enrolled can work on their weaknesses (or even further improve their strengths). To me, Cilfa offers an unparalleled service to its students. I’m highly satisfied with my stay there. If you’re looking for a French language school near Annecy, Cilfa is the institution to go for!

Teachers are fine. Management is absolutely horrendous.Our group was supposed to do 5 days per week 9am-12.15pm, everything was prepaid. But we only had a small group of 3, so the 'principal' told us we could choose to either only have 3 days per week, or cancel the course and have our tuition fees refunded.After some discussion within the group, we decided to cancel and get the refund because we took leaves from our country to fly here to get intensive classes, we'd like to get as many hours as possible so that we didn't waste any time hanging around. So we told him our decision the next day, but then he refused to give us our money back and insisted that new people would come the next week. When we asked if we could talk face-to-face, he refused it saying that he was busy.One person did come the next week, but at that point we were already really disappointed at the school because the principal did not keep his promise, which told us that he was not a reliable man. He is simply not honest and not trustworthy. We really did not want to study in a school like that.At the end of the course, we were asked to fill in some evaluation forms. We were really unhappy with management so we gave low marks in those areas. After we submitted those forms, the principal came and asked us to change our ratings. He has really questionable integrity.Also, they'd spend the whole session on the first day for 'placement test', followed by some 'welcome drinks', and spend the whole session on the last day for an assessment that is not needed. And the 'principal' would pop into your class from time to time to talk to you about management stuff. They are really determined to waste as many of your class hours as possible. Whereas in most other French schools, you'd be asked to do the placement test online or ask you to come in like 1 hour earlier on the first day for that, so that you don't waste any class time.Furthermore, if you're booking accommodation with them and they tell you that you could have accommodation reserved only if you studied at their school and paid the deposit, it's a lie. The accommodation place runs by itself.If you are going to this school, just be prepared that you're not gonna get back your money if things happen, whereas other schools in Annecy are much much more accommodating, considerate, and flexible.

Unfortunately a very bad and stressing experience!!!I bought the intensive course of 45 hours in September 2022 but in the first day of class we were only in 3 and that’s when the problems begun because the principal already came and said that we need to reduce the time of hours for the course what I thought it would be a reasonable reduce but from 15 hours per week he wanted to reduce to 9 hours what it was a lost of 220 euros per student.The class and Cilfa agreed to not continue the course and the school to reimburse us. We set up a rendez-vous only for that and when I arrived there they denied to pay me back. They said that they could pay me only the week next. During this moment classes was already canceled no student or teacher in the class.In the following week I found out by a call of Cilfa that a new student had arrived and everything was back to normal what made me confused and wanting question and know how things would work out and I received as an answer from the principal “ we don’t have anything to talk about!!!” Not wanting to clarify my questions.I have to say that I expected more of Cilfa specially when you’re not in your home country and not knowing well the language.After that we went back to normal “class” because our class finished 30 minutes before it was supposed every day!At the end we had 36hours and 30 minutes of 45 hours bought and no reimburse.To finish my experience at this school in the end of the course we had to answer an evaluation of our experience what I rate bad after all I passed there and for my surprise I was called in the last day and minute to the principal office because he wanted me to change my rate saying that I should be thankful for what the school did to me.But I have to say one thing good about the school is that l I had a great teacher and I loved the classes but does it really worth to lose your money and peace when you can have a good management and teachers in others great schools in Annecy ?As a foreign and a former client I must say that the stress I passed it doesn’t worth it. I expected at least to be respected and feel welcomed, but I didn't have it at all from the school management.

Très bonne expérience

I had studied at CILFA since 9 months for 3 session(2022/10-2023/06) and I had experience of joining activities and DELF. I'm highly recommended CILFA because of following reasons :1) Teaching quality : all teachers of CILFA are very professional, most of them are certificated by DELF exam, so they know very well of pain points and delivery clear direction to pass exam with high points. The class is always less than 12 person, everyone speaks in the class. (I reached > 70 on DELF B1 after sessions)2) Accessible teaching material : I love the small library of CILFA even i did not spend too much time to explore there. But all materials are enough for foreigners. As i know, the materials are diverse, you can even find a translations book of cooking equipment.3) Actives : I joined 2 session which was about 6 months. I like the way that CILFA arranged actives with seasons. It helps me to settle down my life of Annecy quicker. To explore around with teacher is safer and easier. Those activities are all unique, only To know Annecy" is repeat.4) Supporting class (were all free): sometimes CILFA will hold up supporting class such as "pronunciation" and "speaking". I love it very much because it points out my weak point and the speaking material are fun (Big thanks to Virginie). It was easier to practice listening and speaking at the same time.5) Hospitality : There were free "tutor" session on every Monday

J’ai suivi des cours de français pendant 6 mois en partant de 0.Au bout de 6 mois j’ai pu passer le delf et obtenir mon niveau B2 en français.Une école parfaite si vous voulez apprendre le français qui suit les étudiants durant leur parcours et se soucie de vous réellementJe conseille a fond!

Dynamic school, friendly teachers, pleasant and welcoming environment. My level of french has improved a lot! I recommend it!

Pendant l'été 2022, j'ai décidée de passer mes vacances à Annecy et d'améliorer mon français en suivant un cours de français d'une semaine. En cherchant des écoles de langues sur internet, j'ai choisi le CILFA pour la communication très amicale avec les personnes qui travaillent au CILFA. Je pense qu'Annecy est une ville très charmante pour venir apprendre le français. J'ai apprécié la nature, les montagnes, le lac et j'ai fait une promenade en vélo autour du lac, c'était merveilleux. Le cours CILFA était très enrichissant, avec sujets d'actualité et la culture française, et mon professeur Marion était excellente, très compétente et sympathique.J'ai également vécu une expérience formidable en séjournant dans une famille d'accueil, ce qui m'a permis de pratiquer le français et de mieux connaître la culture française.J'ai beaucoup appréciée mon séjour et j'aurais aimée rester plus longtemps.
