Red Panda Rentals

Everything was great about our experience with Red Panda. Gemma was super accommodating and very good with communication. No hesitation about recommending this business for a local car rental in Chamonix. The car was not large, but still fit four adults for a day trip to ski at Megeve, and was comfortable for two adults plus skis and luggage for a trip to Verbier. Our ski rack fit 4 pairs of skis, but it's worth checking if this is an important part of your rental because it looked like some of their racks fit fewer skis.

A very efficient and convenient car rental service. I've used them twice and each time had a great experience. They are responsive and reasonably-priced, cars are great for outdoor activity and winter conditions. Highly recommend!

Service at pickup was great. After drop off, I received text messages from the owner that the car was late and then she sent a picture with additional terms written into the contract we already signed. Charged us an extra 80+ euros.

We'd a great experience with Red Panda. The price was reasonable, and I loved their 'no-fuss' approach - a breath of fresh air compared to the big rental companies. Location was easy to get to using Chamonix's public transport, the car was really well specced and suitably equipped for winter usage, and the ski rack was able to accommodate up to three boards and two pairs of skis. The car we hired was small but mighty - able to comfortably accommodate four big guys and all our ski/snow gear. We'd a wee mishap at the end of our rental (our fault), and Gemma was super chill and helpful in sorting it out. Highly recommend if you're visiting Chamonix - having a car makes a huge difference to the holiday!

Superb 4 wheel drive Suzuki, perfect for winter in the valley. Already fitted with winter tyres and ski rack. Great service and price.

I booked a car 2 weeks in advance do a transfer to Turin airport (there are no other option in April). I stressed to red panda that this was very important and paid up front. They confirmed my rental. On the day i was due to collect they left me a whatsapp to say they no longer had a car and I'd have to sort myself out but they maybe could give me a lift to Sallanches for €20. I had to cancel my ski guide down la vallee blanche costing £500, come off the mountain, book my own car via Avis (which was half the price of red panda) book a bus for €11 (half what they offered to drive me for!) To collect the car before Avis shut. I now have to do the same on the return. Absolute waste of time and money. They are not reliable and although they seemingly tried to help it fell way below the service i expected. I would not recommend.

The best place for car hire in Chamonix valley without a doubt. Brand new cars, spotlessly clean, roof rack included for our skis and cheaper than any other quote we obtained. Whats not to like !

This is exactly the sort of car hire that Chamonix has always needed! We rented a Red Panda for just over 2 weeks. It was very reasonably priced, conveniant to pick up and drop off, and was the ideal car for driving around Chamonix. Great to have it all kitted out for winter too. Thank you.

The service was superb, they answer in less than 24h and try to find what works best for both parties. Everything went smooth and I'd definitely use their service again if I need to rent a car.
