Von der einstigen Festung Ludwig XIV ist noch einiges zusehen. Im Koalitionskrieg erstürmt und schlussendlich zerstört, wurde die Anlage dem Verfall überlassen. Wer ein Fan von Ruinen und alter Geschichte ist, lohnt sich die Besichtigug der Festungsanlage auf jeden Fall.

Geschichtlich bedeutsame Festung aus dem späten 17. Jahrhundert. Die Außenmauern und Zugänge sind gut restauriert.Die aufgestellten Schilder beschreiben das einstige Geschehen leicht verständlich – auch in deutscher Sprache – sodass man die große unbebaute Grünfläche gut nachvollziehen kann. Weitere Grabungen sind offenbar im Gange. Ein Besuch für Geschichtsinteressierte lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

Schöne Festung, definitiv sehenswert. Beschilderung sehr informativ und auch in deutscher Sprache. Leider ist nur noch ein kleiner Teil der Festung erhalten, Pflanzenbewuchs sollte reduziert werden und auch die Scherfolie auf den Schildern fällt in Teilen langsam ab.

if there is a festival, then it's done properly!!!!Throughout the year still a nice place to visit if you like ancient buildings. Lots of multi-language explanatory information boards to tell you about the history of this place

Avant d'entrer dans le village sur la gauche (grande air de repos, parking).Ce beau fort carré est en ruine.Il en reste les murs en partie et une grande cour vide.Des panneaux d'explication viennent combler ce vide.Durée de la visite : 20 minutes maxi.Ensuite le Rhin est à la sortie du village. Ballade possible.Table de pique nique à l'entrée.

Balade sympa autour des ruines du fort. Explications et histoire du fort de Saint Louis sur des panneaux agréables à lire. Il ne reste plus grand chose du fort, mais on imagine bien les lieux.
