We had a lovely holiday in La Longere Rose". The holiday cottage was part of a beautiful farmhouse with wooden beams and other original features. It was very well equipped with all mod cons and tastefully decorated. The surrounding gardens are pretty and the pool was fantastic after a hot day exploring the area. There are lots of monuments

Un weekend exceptionnel dans une longère où tout est parfait : équipements, vaisselle, literie, linge et des hôtes au petit soin et très agréables. Un plus les animaux sont les bienvenus. Juste une envie d'y revenir. Bon courage.

Ayant loué pour une longue période auprès des propriétaires de ce gîte , ces derniers ont annulé ma location, sans m'avoir contacté au préalable par téléphone pour en discuter, car le contrat parti par voie postale un Vendredi, ne leur était pas parvenu Lundi; me laissant le bec dans l'eau à quelques jours de ma venue dans la région. Quand j'ai demandé des explications au propriétaire, ce dernier a simplement répondu '' C'est dommage, mais c'est fait'' en ricanant. A éviter , pas sérieux.

La Longere Rose is in a lovely part of the Charante and is a beautiful, relaxing place to spend a holiday. Had a lovely time. Helen and John Carroll are brilliant hosts. Gite was spotless and very well appointed .. great facilities. Helen and John have gone out of their way to make it a home away from home. It's a short drive to the lovely market town of Melle. Very easy to get to by air or train .. Poitiers is one hours drive. I truly recommend La Longere Rose for your self catering holiday! Merci beaucoup Helen and John!

Property under new ownership since 2021Sarah and Blake are fantastic hosts. This home has everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay! Great for kids and pets too. Beautiful gites, pretty gardens and the pool and hot tub are lovely. Peaceful village surroundings with lovely walks.

Had a wonderful time at La Longere Rose! The hosts were very accommodating and the place was beautiful, a great break away in the French country, but not too far from busy Niort or the coast. Would definitely recommend.
