This church was interesting to walk through and very low key - not a lot of people here. The frescos are phenomenal for their age! The lighting in here is difficult to take photos. Photos as of May 2018

Très belle collégiale qui a conserver son joli cloître. Une visite s'impose à Saint-Emilion et la ville a su garder de nombreux vestiges de son riche passé.

Great views of St Émilion and the surrounding area from the top of the tower. Not very well advertised, but if you go to the tourist information office and tell them you would like to go up, they will charge you €2, ask for some id they can keep hold of whilst you visit, and they will give you a key to get into the tower. Outs about 170+ spiral steps to the tip and then you'll see that you've just spent the best €2 that day!

What we appreciated the most about Saint-Émilion Collegial Church is the age and that it is like two buildings in one. The older section, away from the altar is clearly Romanesque style. The section, where the altar is currently located, is Gothic in style, larger windows, open ceilings and such. We really enjoyed our visit to the beautiful church.

A la fois lieu de pèlerinage, site touristique et lieu de culture, ici il y a toujours beaucoup de visiteurs.Venant de la rue, on se retrouve tout de suite projeté dans le cloître. Lieu de méditation et de prière, il invite au calme et au recueillement. On peut y admirer la splendide fresque de l'Apocalypse, œuvre de François Peltier, peinte sur un côté du cloître tout entier.Dans l'église, enduits peints du 12ème siècle sur les mursde la nef, et statue de la vierge en habits dans le chœur.Un lieu majestueux qui vaut le voyage pour sa découverte.

Impressive and historical church located in St. Emilion with very convenient parking available close-by.I came early and there were not very many tourists around as yet which meant you could explore without feeling cramped or rushed.The Courtyard and small cloisters were my favourite parts.
