Église Saint-Maurice
Lovely church to walk around with views to beautiful rural fields surrounding. The parish church dedicated to Saint-Maurice in 1590-1595. Rectangular plan built on the old Romanesque church 1000-1200. Gothic Style. Consecrated on Sept 22, 1595 by the bishop of Nevers Arnaud Sorbin. The plaque fixed at the entrance, dates from 1590 was partially erased during the revolution (Count Francis II of the River, lord of Champlemy, and the Countess Anne de Veilhan can still be read). Paved with tumbled stones in 1600s. Polychrome wooden statues of St. Peter and St. Paul dated from 1500-1700. The bell, dated 1633, bearing an inscription, figures of saints and two shields. Door protected by an awning covered with small flat tiles. High buttresses support the nave and the choir. The octagonal bell tower of 1633, and its arrow are covered with slates.
