Bistro 'An der Aler Schwemm'
A bistro under the same building of the Schengen Museum, looks crowded with the outdoor tables totally filled with people sipping and enjoying wine on a summer afternoon.I wanted to get an outdoor seat but the indoor was empty so I had no choice but to sit indoors.I wasnt expecting to have something filling and I wanted to try some local dish, so I asked the staff to recommend me something to try. In the end he recommended me the Riesling Pate and a local grape juice.So while waiting for the food I Googled to find out it was actually a pastry which has meat inside. It sounded interesting I was waiting to eat it and it only took a while for it to be served.It felt strange that the pastry was not hot or warm, and surprised that the meat inside was cold. Am not sure if that was how the locals would eat it but it tasted okay for me. I enjoyed the fruit juice as I thought it was quite nice and sweet.Not a bad place to chill by the Moselle river as well.

Bistro 'An der Aler Schwemm'
Lovely bistro. Perfect for a quick stop midway on a long journey. We were driving so couldn't sample the wine but the Salad Nicoise was delicious and the non alcoholic beer and local grape juice were very good. Pity we weren't there at the time the museum was also open.

Bar le long de la Moselle avec une terrasse, nous avons bougé des tables car nous étions en groupe et le serveur nous a dit que la prochaine fois on devait l'appeler pour le faire, ensuite il n'était pas content que chacun règle sa consommation, bref l'accueil est à revoir ...

AVOID AT ALL COST. It did not look nearly as nice as in the pictures, was full of people smoking. The staff did not greet us or make us feel welcome at all, they actually come off as rather rude. The guests were not nice either. When we went to check the menu, which was right by the entrance door for everyone to view (because of the Corona measures), a person came and sat at our table even though we left some belongings at the table. We then told him that this was our table but he refused to move. The staff watched this happened from a few metres away and completed ignored helping us. So we left, of course!

Cadre agréable pour boire un petit verre devant la Moselle.Service et personnel très professionnel au petit soin pour leur clients. Je recommande cet endroit en famille ou entre amis.
