Oh My Pattes- Education Canine

We signed up for a package of 4 sessions after an initial home visit. Our problem was Norman our labrador was too enthusiastic when meeting new dogs on and off the lead and had pulled me over on a road before. She said we should change to a lunge and accessories and she taught us a new technique, listening and watching both Norman and other dogs he encountered. We also had to adjust our body language, speed etc. Very clear instructions and advice, out on walks together visiting different areas where we wanted to be able to take Norman and meeting new dogs. Very quick response with texting and answering our questions. HIghly recommended, very happy with the results and feel confident to continue our new social life with Norman.Nous nous sommes inscrits pour un forfait de 4 séances après une première visite à domicile. Notre problème était que Norman, notre labrador, était trop enthousiaste lorsqu'il rencontrait de nouveaux chiens en laisse et qu'il m'avait déjà fait tomber sur une route. Elle a dit que nous devrions passer à une longe et à des accessoires et elle nous a appris une nouvelle technique, en écoutant et en regardant Norman et les autres chiens qu'il rencontrait. Nous avons également dû ajuster notre gestuelle, notre vitesse etc. Consignes et conseils très clairs, sorties en balade ensemble pour visiter différentes zones où nous voulions pouvoir emmener Norman et rencontrer de nouveaux chiens. Très réactive avec texto et réponse à nos questions. Fortement recommandé, très satisfait des résultats et confiant pour continuer notre nouvelle vie sociale avec Norman.

Lindsay stepped in when our dog sitter pulled out, nearly threatening our vacation start. We saw video every day, we could see that our dog Charlie was being well taken care of & was very happy, what a difference it makes to have a dog trainer watching your dog! Great experience.

Lindsay has been a personal friend for over 10 years prior to her starting Oh My Pattes. My family had recently welcomed our new chocolate labrador puppy, Moose, in June of 2021. We did our best to train him through the basics but always seemed to struggle on dealing with distractions and lead walking. Lindsay was visiting in town in Hawaii at the time he was around 5 months old. Besides being able to spend time catching up with Lindsay, she also helped us train him with various techniques for leash walking and distractions. Once she took Moose on the leash, I swear she was walking a different dog. Moose almost immediately walked well with her through a few busy blocks of urban Honolulu. He was even able to walk by numerous cafes without worrying that he would jump and say hi to everyone he passes. To top it off, we could to enjoy a cup of coffee while he was ever so calm waiting beside us. We are still using the lessons and techniques that Lindsay shared with us during her visit.
