Lieu autant émouvant que complet. Beaucoup de témoignages, d’explications et pour finir les images, noms et prénoms des enfants.Il y a également une reconstitution d’une baraque à l’entrée du musée.

Brilliant museum with very well-designed and thought-provoking exhibits. The children's memorial is comparable to that at Yad Vashem and a must see for anyone within the area. I highly recommend this museum to anyone, including young children, for there is something meaningful to learn from here for everyone. It is unique from other holocaust museums for it highlights the role of the French people and government in deporting to death camps and housing in concentration camps more than 70,000 French Jewish civilians, including 11,600 children, during WWII. Tarifs are 4€ for adults, 2€ for students and other groups, and free for minors under 18. The experience that comes with it is priceless.

Beaucoup d'émotion en parcourant les témoignages des martyrs des camps de concentration du Loiret.Découverte de certains aspects de l'Histoire méconnus comme celle des billets verts. Prenez votre temps pour vous imprégnez des lieux, des témoignages écrits et sonores.La librairie est très riche d'ouvrages pour ne pas oublier.

Musée situé dans le centre villeD Orléans. Proche de la cathédrale.La visite est émouvante et les témoignages recueillis sont poignants.On apprend en visitant. Le choix du musée n est pas de montrer l horreur de cette période mais de la décrire à travers les morceaux vie présentes.Visite un peu dure mais à faire.

A surreal experience. An atrocious event that is well documented. English translation is available. The room with the names and photos of the 4,000 children that were firstly separated from their parents then murdered locally is beyond belief. A must see when visiting Orleans and France.Thank you to the people that created this museum so the people that were persecuted are not forgotten.

Musée qui as le mérite d’exister. Toute l’exposition est sous forme de lecture alors n’oubliez pas vos lunettes… le musée évoque essentiellement les correspondances qui avait lieu entre les déportés et leurs familles lorsque cela était faisable. Entrée 4€ parfait ACCEUIL sympathique

A very emotional visit that made me more aware of the mistakes of the past. The museum is very well documented and although all the information is in French, the ladies at the reception were very kind to explain all the details to me and to offer me a tour guide in English. Entrance costs 4 € for adults and if you get in Orleans certainly worth visiting.

Musée bouleversant d'émotions tant pas les témoignages que la richesse de son contenu.Un formidable travail a été réalisé pour le documenter et le rendre accessible aux plus jeunes.Difficile de trouver les mots à la sortie de ce musée, passeur de mémoire, qui nous rappelle à ne pas oublier notre passé.

C'est par hasard que nous avons vu ce musée auquel la mairie n'offre pas forcément beaucoup de visibilité. Nous avons encore appris plein de choses (le billet vert : convocation avec un faux prétexte). L'accueil est super. Le prix d'entrée de 4 €.

This is a special place to recall the fate of children lost to France due the holocaust. There is an English guide book to help you work through the museum. The displays are in French. There is an intuitive presentation to the displays so that a lack of language skills does not totally detract from the experience. The museum is small still please allow yourself a couple of hours to explore the experience.

Beau musée commémoratif. Il faut vraiment 2h pour tout parcourir car il y a pas mal de lecture au travers des correspondances entre parents et enfants. Je vous le conseille vivement si vous êtes de visite à Orléans.

Very good infrastructure and well organized content. It's a trip trough the history. The audio and written content is in French only, but the lady at the entrance provided a very well written guide in English that is organized in the same sequence of what you see.The pictures and videos are very informative and you will not see any strong scenes during the tour, so you can bring your kids and family to see this relevant piece of french and world history. There are a lot of books and extra information for those who can read french.We need to always keep in mind what we did with each other and think about what lessons we can get from it. The time for judgments are gone, but is never too late to learn how to become a better person, day after day.

A la fois lieu de recherche, musée et mémorial, le CERCIL s'intéresse aux anciens camps d'internement du Loiret et en particulier aux enfants du Vel d'hiv'. Il organise régulièrement des marches sur place à Beaune, Pithiviers et en Sologne.
