Lemonie Gites

This is the second time we have visited Lemonie, the first time was last year and we stayed for 8 weeks. This year we stayed for 5 weeks as we are off to Spain tomorrow. Terry and John are exceptional hosts and nothing is too much trouble!! They have treated us as friends rather than clients and many an evening we have sat with them having a pre-dinner drink. The location is fabulous and very quiet and rural. The grounds are stunning with fresh herbs growing like weeds. We have taken full advantage of these herbs when making our evening meals!! The swimming pool is very well maintained and set in a beautiful part of the garden. As if all this wasn't enough their two dogs and cat are adorable and really friendly. Nous avons passé deux nuits chez John et Terry à l’occasion d’un mariage près du gîte. Tout est super. Le cadre est exceptionnel et tout est décoré avec soin. La piscine est immense et l’eau très bonne. Gîte super bien équipé et propreté irréprochable. Accueil très sympathique des hôtes, qui sont à la fois gentils et discrets. Proche de St Aulaye et Aubeterre. Logement à réserver sans hésiter. Merci

These are a beautiful pair of gites. They are extremely well equipped with everything, furnished to a high standard and are really comfortable. The pool is also lovely with lots of Sun loungers to enjoy the sunshine from every direction.You are only a few kilometres from the river beaches at St Aulaye or Aubeterre for the summer sunshine or to sit and have a coffee in their pretty streets.Terry and John are lovely hosts.I would strongly recommend Lémonie Gites.

Beautiful gite in stunning surroundings, hosts John and Terry so helpful and sociable., best advice for sightseeing from them. Pizza night was the best fun evening. Attention to detail in the gites second to none. A wonderful holiday.

Ce WE allongé nous a paru trop court.Terry et John nous ont accueillis chaleureusement avec pleins d'attention dans leurs gîtes ultra confortables décorés avec beaucoup de goût. Chaque chambre avec sa salle de bain, superbes jardins avec des herbes qui nous ont permis d'agrémenter notre rôti, une piscine que certains ont pu tester grâce à une météo d'octobre extraordinaire. Tout était réuni pour passer un superbe moment et nous donner envie de revenir, ce que nous ferons sûrement.Encore merci à Terry et John.Mifa et Laurent, Vero et Barbu, Brigitte et Georges, Gene et Arsene.

We had the most perfect stay at Lemonie Gites. John and Terry are extremely welcoming hosts, not only did they have the log fire roaring away on our arrival but they also made us a beautiful lemon cake and homemade marmalade (plus other goodies!)The gite was very well equipped, spacious yet cosy. The grounds and gardens are peaceful and beautiful, as is the local area, great for countryside walks and getting out in Nature.We can’t wait to return in summer, to take full advantage of the lovely swimming pool.Thanks John & Terry!

Excellent gite. Tenu par un couple très disponible avec un gite très propre et très bien aménagé. La piscine est très propre (les propriétaires mette régulièrement le robot dedans) il y a tout type des bouées pour flemmarder dans la piscine. La piscine est protégée avec une alarme de chute. Le jardin est rempli de fruits l été que l on peut récolter. Idéal avec des enfants, il y a une balançoire. Bref, super endroit.

Magnifique WE dans ce gîtes!! L'endroit est un petit paradis, le jardin est immense, le gîte très confortable, et bien équipé, tout est prévu y compris la nourriture pour le petit déjeuner. We had a wonderful week at Lemonie Gites, our hosts John and Terry were charming and most welcoming, their pets are all characters in their own right! The gites are cosy and comfortable and are the best equipped we have ever come across, everything has been thought of. Their welcome pack is most appreciated, especially the home made cake! Thanks Terry. This is a delightful area to visit although nothing beats relaxing by the pool with a chilled glass of Chardonnay!
