International School Of Lyon.

My two kids (primary school) were absolutely happy in this school. There were great teachers and comfortable atmosphere in classes. We changed 4 private IB schools in different countries (because of my job and other circumstances) and believe me - beautiful pictures do not always mean quality education and a friendly atmosphere. The most important thing in a school is the teachers, and in this sense, this school can give your child much more than many others. Thank you ISL and all its staff, we will miss you!

If you are American and plan to return to the states Do NOT send your children to this school , my two children attended the school for two years and upon our return to US they were behind two grade levels, behind their peers in every subject area, according to the IB they attend in the states. I picked this school intentionally for the transferability of the IB program. Finding out now that it has zero standards, especially for the appropriate grade level. It’s was a horrible waste of time and money, which has left me in utter shock, disappointment and my children being retained! Devastating!

I did not enjoy my experience. Waste of money and time and resources. Might as well have slept all day.

ISL provides the best school environment for international students in Lyon! Having studied there, it's a really nice place to have a home away from home!

je conseille à personne cette école trop cher et qui prenne les enfants pour des animeaux il qui ne rende pas les affaires après avoir mis mon fils dehors au bout d une semaine vu qu'il rentrais pas leur moule

If you are here for primary school, consider it. If not leave. Your child is probably going to get bullied or he wont like it here. Since the school is so small you won't get that many options for friends. And the phone rules are terrible, Why aren't you allowed to use your phone after and before school hours to call your parents? The dress code is terrible, I won't comment on the teachers but a 1 star review shows a lot. Quite frankly the only reason this school even has students is because its the only English speaking school in Lyon (basically). If you don't believe me look at the other reviews.

Mi experiencia fue un PESADILLA!!!!Si sois españoles NO llevéis a vuestros hijos a este colegio!! Por desgracia uno de mis dos hijos que cursaron 3 años en ISL, sufrió bullying, y lo peor no fue solo lo que sufrió mi hijo pequeño de 10 años, también la situación de impotencia para los padres, y que el equipo docente, dirigido por la directora, NO hizo nada para evitarlo!!Nos engañaron en la entrevista de inscripción, diciéndonos que había servicio de cocina (y si hay, pero no la utilizan), y cual fue nuestra sorpresa, cuando el 1er dia de curso, nos dicen que los niños tienen que llevar cada dia la comida!!Ojalá hubiéramos cambiado de escuela el 1er año, por desgracia no pudimos!!Es la peor experiencia que sufrieron mis hijos!!

depsite being based around the great educational system of the IB diploma, this form of education is not well executed. in addition, the lack of resources provided for the student causes student life to be quite unforgiving, especially for the high price needed to pay. Despite all this, the teachers are quite good, even if they are overstaffed, due to the small size of the school.

As the only IB school in Lyon, we are very satisfied with its teaching quality. It is not a big scale school, however it misses no chances for students’ development and growth. Almost all the teachers are native English speakers with IB teaching qualifications. With students and teachers from all over the world the school contains a diversified culture. With PTA‘s support, we feel very comfortable to be one part of ISL. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a professional English IB school. If the school can offer canteen and shuttle bus, it will be too ideal of course.
