Puvis de Chavannes park and garden Lyon

This is actually a peaceful and tranquil little park with kid's playground and benches for a relaxing ambiance. It's right in front of the Church of the Redemption with the statue of Joan of Arc in the middle. Dedicated to Lyonese painter, Pierre Puvis de Chavannes (several of his works are at the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon). Most notable history of this square; that it witnessed the last confrontations in 1944 before the city was liberated! A peaceful place with beautiful history.
