This restaurant is a precious gem hidden in Île Saint-Louis. Unique interior with so many details that keep their legends, magical atmosphere with the candle light and music, delicious homemade food and the owner and the chef make you feel like a part of their family! The most beautiful experience to live in Paris!

We made a reservation and the owner canceled it a day before and offered the day after, and the next day she canceled again an hour before we were supposed to come. It was disrespectful.

Excellent home style cooked feeling. The cassoulet was very tasty with beans, vegetables and meat. We were welcomed warmly and very much enjoyed the hospitality. There was also an elderly gentleman regular who was also nice to talk to and very animated. I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. The format is like eating at friend or families house with appetizer or starter and one main which rotates during the week.

This restaurant is closed as of 27 Nov 2022. Whether that is permanent or temporary, I do not know. The furniture is stacked and they’ve covered most of the windows with posters. The 5-star review does not reflect an evaluation based upon dining there - one must designate a star level to place a review.

We discovered this jewel last night. When I said I was Croatian Miro immediately offered us a rakija, šibenska loza, it was very good. We didn’t even plan to have dinner but Miro and Lea were so nice and the place immediately felt so cosy that we ended up having a delicious mushroom risotto and a couple of glasses of wine. It’s a very small restaurant so it’s better to make a reservation. Otherwise you can have drinks in front and make some friends. I highly recommend this place, food is Croatian, homemade and delicious, music is nice, ambiance is like at home and hosts are wonderful. I will be coming back often.

A charming and welcoming little restaurant on isle St. Louis. We had so much fun with our hosts as we enjoyed the delicious cuisine of Croatia. A truly unique dining experience!

Finding Chez Aloise was the highlight of my day. My grandparents were born in Croatia so it was fate that brought my friend and I to this friendly, cozy restaurant. We had a drink and few days later dinner. The food was outstanding and the ambience delightful. The owners are friendly and make you feel like family. Enjoy!
