I recently visited the Tomb of Napoleon, and here's my review:1. This site holds immense historical significance. You have the opportunity to view the tomb from above, offering a unique perspective. Additionally, you can descend to the lower level for a closer look at this monumental mausoleum.2. Given that it is a mausoleum, it's important to approach the site with a sense of respect and reverence. This is a place of remembrance for a prominent figure in history, and visitors should be mindful of its solemnity.Overall, the Tomb of Napoleon offers a profound and educational experience for those interested in history. The option to view it from different angles allows for a comprehensive understanding of its significance. Remembering to be respectful while exploring this site is paramount.

Although part of the Army Museum, a series of museums dedicated to military history, from the Middle Ages until modern times, the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte is the most visible and well known building of them all. While you can spend several hours in here, visiting the entire complex, you may also skip the military museums and just visit the tomb. The ticket for the entire museum is EUR 15. Impressive building, full of history, and one of the city’s landmarks, Napoleon’s tomb is worth a visit. You will find several rooms dedicated to Napoleon in the army museum. Recommended!

Tombeau de Napoléon 1er
Located inside a sprawling multi faceted complex that acts as memorial, museum, and even hospital and living space for French veterans, the tomb is a enormous golden domed building that speaks to the grandeur of this age of French history. The tomb itself is under the main dome, recessed into the floor and can be viewed at the crypt level or from above. The building houses monuments and the remains of many war dead and there are amazing displays in each of the areas, but the solemnity and majesty of his memorial is breathtaking.

One of the most beautiful and solemn mausoleums you could visit. Invalides is truly a tribute from a grateful nation to the architect of modern France.Napoleon was a visionary leader for the French who introduced modern concepts such as a centralised government administration, french common law, the french university and high school system, various government institutions that aimed at introducing more fairness in decision making. An interesting legacy. The mausoleum includes various life size marble statues that describe this legacy in detail.I really recommend visiting. You have to see it to take it all in.Invalides is also the french national museum of the army with lots of other interesting exhibitions to visit.

The monument is a harmonious blend of history, architecture, and art that leaves a profound impact. The architectural brilliance is evident in every detail, from the intricately carved facades to the meticulously planned layout. It's a living testament to the reverence with which Napoleon Bonaparte's legacy was held. The displayed artifacts in the museum outline French history, the art of war, and achievements. Exhibits, artifacts, and displays provide an intimate look into the past... military campaigns, and significant moments. The museum-like setup is educational and enlightening, catering to both history enthusiasts and casual visitors. The tomb itself, situated beneath the grand dome, the final resting place of NapoleonBeyond the historical aspect, Napoleon's Tomb is a masterpiece of design and aesthetics. The symmetry, attention to detail, and fusion of various architectural styles are a sight to behold. It's a place where art and history converge in a harmonious embrace.Visiting Napoleon's Tomb was not just a touristic experience; it was a journey into the past.

Note to tourists: It’s MUCH easier to get there from the “back” than it is to cross Pont Alexander and walk through the plaza of the Museum. It took me almost 30 minutes going that way! The tomb is viewable from the door - albeit from afar - if you don’t want to pay the €8 to enter, but I recommend going in to see the magnificent interior of the building.
