Etang de la Vilotte Carp Fishing Lake

Visited etang vilotte 25th August to 1st September looking for a peaceful holiday hopefully catching a few fish, with hopefully a few of them being 30s plus. This lake came up trumps for me being one of my best fishing trips. Nicki food is quality home cooked served bankside with a different meal every night. Breakfast baguette sets u up perfectly every morning. Paul is very helpful and knowledgeable wanting you to catch. The lake is a lovely mature lake with a good head of fish. Numbers are not so important when appreciating the experience but I got 18 fish in the week including 5 forties. Great sport . Paul and nicki have big plans to improve the fishery as an anglers experience which will be interesting to see on a future visit. Which I will be doing. Thanks Paul and nicki

Paul & Nicki are the new ownersof this lake which has a good stock of sizeable carp. Surrounded by conifers the lake is a very peaceful place to fish at and Paul is an expert fisherman who can give advice if required whist Nicki is the perfect hostess making our stay very amiable. Myself and my Wife completely unwound during our stay and will definitely be returning. John & Wendy

Excellent fishing holiday and facilities.Saw my first osprey hunting.Caught 40lb+ carp with back up 20' and 30's in just 3 days of fishing.Food package is a must and niki's can't do enough for you.Owner pauls knowledge of the lake and boat skills are just awsome.Highly recommended.

First time Carp fishing in France. What a fabulous couple of days at Etang de la Vilotte, on our way to Spain. Had a nice Common Carp 16lb on first day. Paul & Nicki are great hosts & made us very welcome. The food was the best we have had on a fishing holiday.

Fishing this lake (to me, a UK angler. It has opened my eyes to the size and capability of the specimen species reaching sizes I couldn't imagine catching in just a weeks fishing.)I ended up fishing 10 days and nights and caught 37 carp totalling an accumulated wieght of over 900lb. My biggest being 47.14lb. After epic battle after battle catching 4 +40s withing 36 hours.The lake record.I would like to much appreciate the help with netting, weighing and many photos taken. I could not ask of more from Paul and Nicky.The food package and hospitality was far beyond a week alone with ya mates. Tasty hot meals and bankside company was amazing if and when needed. Brilliant owners, always there to be of aid.Already arranging my next trip out there. For the 50lb pb breaker.
