I had a very basic level of french at the starting point, but was able to improve a lot quite quickly. Mathilde made it very easy for me in terms of scheduling our classes (I have been learning French in parallel to my job) and arranging for intensive lessons a couple of times. Classes were made fun and adapted to the areas were I needed to focus more. Overall a great experience so far!

I have been going to Mathlides coffee and conversation class on a Friday morning, at Clussais. It is exactly what I've been looking for. A very relaxed conversation group that is giving me confidence to speak and improve my French. Mathlides teaching style in this class is to just get us talking. There is no awkwardness if your French I not up to scratch. We talk about every day events which is perfect as we have no excuse not to put into practice what we have learned.

Mathilde is a fantastic french teacher! We started in March of 2021 and I have learned so much. I live in the US and it's amazing to be able to work with a wonderful native speaker. She is also very fun to work with. We have a great time! If you are looking for the BEST french teacher, look no further. You have found her!

Mathilde is an excellent teacher; enthusiastic, encouraging and helpul. Learning a language can be daunting but Mathilde puts you at ease and creates a positive environment for learning. It doesn't matter what level you're at, she'll equip you with the tools you need to reach your goal.

Mathilde Brunet - Professeure de langues/language teacher
I’ve been learning French for a few years but have never been confident at speaking it. Having attended both the Café entre voisins and the French conversation class for intermediate to advanced levels I now have much more confidence to speak in French. Mathilde makes the classes interesting, enjoyable and fun and I’m so glad I found her. Merci beaucoup Mathilde!

Mathilde makes me feel confident and welcome at her classes . She makes the session fun and so it doesn’t feel like learning . I have made some good friends and increased my desire to speak French more fluently

Mathilde is an excellent teacher and a really lovely person who maintains a great balance of lightness in her classes whilst also keeping things engaging.She is very effective at assessing your level of proficiency and recommending which classes you would be best to attend based on that ability. Furthermore she explains concepts very well and has a good sense of when to go into more detail to ensure you understand things.Highly recommend!
