The best German learning school in Freiburg.Simply the best. very experienced staff, state of the art rooms and facilities and excellent learning material. Don't waste your time trying somewhere else like I did.

I live locally. I took two month-long, intensive courses there (not consecutively) and then an evening course (part-time), all at the B2-C1 levels. Amazing teachers with years of experience and friendly, helpful staff. I have some experience with other local schools and I can honestly say that in this case, you really do get what you pay for. The experience and resources are simply unmatched. If I decide to take the C1 exam, I'll return to Goethe for a Vorbereitungskurs.

This school is the best school in Freiburg. I had classes Goethe institute and others in Freiburg. Some school doesn't listen to student's ask and don't understand on foreigner 's side. But Goethe people are always doing best for Students. Information workers are nice, kind and understanding. All staff at this school are open and communicating to students. They are proud and dedicated to their workClasses quality are the best. They are always open and help me. Even if it is not their business, when I fell difficulties, I can ask them. They don't mind communicate with students. I love this school. I can survive in Germany because of their helps. Thank you very much!

He realizado varios cursos en el Goethe. El Goethe en Freiburg sigue los mismos elementos de calidad del Instituto en otros lugares. No le falta de nada, buenos profesores que están siempre pendientes de tu aprendizaje, una inmejorable atención de los empleados, las últimas técnicas para mejorar la experiencia del estudio, una biblioteca y accesos a uso tanto de ordenadores como de mediateca, actividades lúdicas, una residencia genial para no volverte loco buscando alojamiento… pero además está en una de las mejores ciudades para tener una inmersión lingüística en Alemania ya que Freiburg es una de las ciudades universitarias más importantes de Alemania y tiene un ambiente fantástico además de un entorno perfecto para las relaciones y para disfrutar de la ciudad y alrededores. Vamos, que no solo aprendes en clase sino que fuera de ella. Si lo que quieres es aprender bien el idioma es más que aconsejable aunque te aconsejo que estés preparado para estudiar si haces un curso intensivo. Vas a aprender seguro, pero te van a hacer estudiar :-)

I took part in the B1.2 course at the GI Freiburg in May 2023 . I have a really positive feeling towards the institute, our lecturer, other staff members, my collegues and also the cultural programme . Specially our lecturer ( Mr. Niklaus) was very friendly and energetic. No discrimination among students and very supportive..The course participants were also very friendly..The cultural programme was also very practical and effective to get to know the city fast..and the prices were also reasonable..A great place to gain German knowledge in an international community.

I have participated in a number of courses at Goethe Institute Freiburg, from the beginner's level A2 all the way through to the advanced C1. Every teacher was exceptionally patient, passionate and communicated clearly, not only through what they said, but also through their body language and facial expressions - especially useful for the beginners who are just starting out and cannot yet fully comprehend everything that is being said to them in German. Not only were the teachers fully supportive, but also all the staff in the office, and the staff in the in-house library / study space (Mediothek). The student accommodation (Gästehaus) was top-notch - the rooms, furniture, kitchens and common areas were great and well equipped, and located less than 10 minutes away by foot from the school.The classroom was real modern too. Classes were taught on a digital whiteboard, of which every page was saved and made available online. A digital diary was also prepared daily by the teacher, outlining what was taught on that day, and the expected homework. Not only did we learn through completing exercises in a Textbook, but through regular excursions into the city in which we interact with real Germans in real life situations, or through German movie trailers and songs, working together in groups discussing current topics and expressing personal experiences. Personal requests could also be made to the teacher to cover specific topics that a student had particular difficulty with, and the teacher always made efforts to incorporate the requests into the following day's teaching plan.The Culture and Leisure Team offered every day of the week an event to participate in, from dance classes, hiking in the Black Forest, city tours, brewery tours, drink-ups in the city, barbecues, cooking classes, to excursions to nearby cities such as Colmar and Strassbourg in France, oder Basel and Lucern in Switzerland.The courses are indeed expensive but the experience is absolutely worth it.

Best Language School ever. I went to many and this is really the only one where I learnt a lot, met incredible people and had such a great time. If I could have stayed more than a month, I would have. Go there, you won't regret!

I did the A1 course and our teacher was fantastic. She was great at engaging the class and I enjoyed each and every day. Made the learning experience a lot of fun and was also very useful. Guesthouse is also really great and for a reasonable price (was certainly worth coming here for the guesthouse which not all of the other institutes offer). Culture crew did a great job with the events and was fun to hang out with all of them. Everyone got along wonderfully and I made a lot of new friends (other students as well as the culture crew). Overall Freiburg is a lovely city and I loved my month here alongside fantastic people.

I spent 3 months in Freiburg and took courses at the Institute beginning with A1 up to A2.2. I loved my time there and have fond memories of the school, teachers, classmates, and friends I made there. I loved how the guesthouse was close to the school (about 7 minutes by foot) and how the culture department always had something to do nearly every day of the week.Although the price for some may be steep, you definitely get what you pay for. Between learning German and meeting new people from all over the world, what you take away from it is invaluable.I highly recommend anyone who wishes to do an intensive course to come here. You won't regret it!
