Always enjoy attending the library on sundays. Very kid friendly (visiting the kids area) and friendly staff!

I have spent a lot of time in this library over the past year for my last year of studies in Paris, and I have to say it was a really great place to work. The staff are all incredibly friendly, from the librarians to security, and the facilities available are good too. There are good seating areas to do some work, 2 ‘office’ styled rooms that you can book to work in private, and obviously, a huge collection of English language content, ranging from travel guides to archived magazines. I cannot recommend this place enough if you have work to do, or if you just fancy going to do some reading - it is a great environment for both. Thank you very much!

Silencieux, parfait pour lire et étudier

As a fellow American, seeing my country represented overseas makes me feel seen. Thank you for creating and maintaining such an excellent and prestigious establishment. My friends daughter worked there part time in middle school, she greatly enjoyed it.

Best place to spend some reading time here alone or with your kids. Great, helpful staff. I found some old collections and some recent additions as well.Highly recommend becoming a member. Well worth it.

You need to purchase a day pass to access this place (€15 as of today) or signup for a paid membership.This place has a broad collection of English language books that are rather hard to find in Paris. The atmosphere is nice and peaceful for reading, studying, or working. The staff could use some training in terms of communication with visitors.

Abonnement annuel pour un adulte : 135 € (soit 9 fois plus qu'à la Bibliothèque nationale de France !). Consultation des archives : 20 € la séance et 60 € pour la semaine (en plus de l'abonnement ?). Bref : bibliothèque très chère.

Si vous publiez que vous fermez à 19h, 19h est la fermeture pour le public. Les horaires des employés sont une chose séparée. Publier que vous fermez à 19h ne signifie pas que les employés sortent du travail à 19h. Cette une communication au public qu'on aura accès a la bibliothèque jusqu'à 19h. Soyez professionnel s'il vous plait et laissez que les utilisateurs restent dans la bibliothèque jusqu’à 19h comme votre site web indique ! Votre abonnement est trop cher pour nous traiter de telle manière !It is very unprofessional that the employees of the American Library in Paris publish to the public that they close at 7pm when in reality they force everyone to leave the library at 6:30pm. When you have on your website that you close at 7pm, you are stating TO THE PUBLIC that the public will have access to the libary until 7pm! The published closing time is not an employee schedule! It does not mean that employees get to leave their work at 7pm! It means that the public will have access to the library until 7pm. BE PROFESSIONAL PLEASE!

I have been a member for a few years now, and all I can say is that I highly recommend this place, with always a good vibe! Even during the corona times, when it was hard to find a ray of sunshine in the world. Great for reading, co-working, and the evenings with authors are a blast!

The library is not free but it's feel that membership pays back a big time! The place is fun to visit and the selection of books is absolutely great! Must if you are in Paris for a long stay and wish you (and especially your kids) to keep up with English :)

The price of membership is well worth it - I would definitely be spending way more if I were to purchase all the books I read.My 4 y/o loves it here (great activities + tons of books for her to enjoy). The space for children is lovely and the children’s librarians are wonderful and always have great advice. I also like coming here to work. My 1 complaint is that the wifi is terrible which makes it hard to work from there. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Bibliothèque privée et payante, dont je suis membre depuis des années et que je fréquente très assidûment. Pendant mes études, j'y trouvais de précieuses traductions de romans tchèques qui n'avaient jamais été traduits en français. Et des livres, suffisamment pour calmer mon insatiable appétit littéraire. Maintenant, j'y trouve toujours tout cela, et on y organise des soirées culturelles vraiment incontournables. Ils ont aussi un beau fonds de DVD, et entre autres pas mal de séries !

Le meilleur! Je commande dans ce magasin depuis de nombreuses années. Tellement utile! Incroyable!
