Je suis un habitué des appartements aulyondort pour mes déplacements pro sur Lyon. Tous différents, tous bien placés, tous propres, tous joliment décorés avec en prime l'accueil et le service d'Emilie! Du coup, j'y viens et y reviens...

I will also add here that some days later, the drains stopped smelling, and after a week the smell of damp had lifted a bit and the flat was ok, but I suffered 6 nasty, nasty days out of 10 in this flat.Dear Cecile, Dear Emilie,I wanted to write and inform you of my situation in the apartment I have rented for 10 days this summer.Firstly: the apartment has no natural light, and no airflow - this should be made clear on the website, because it makes all the other issues much, much worse.There are 3 different smell problems: the place is naturally damp, because it is an old apartment. This is the main smell you receive when you arrive, and it is the smell you have to wash off each individual dish or piece of cutlery. It is the smell in the cupboard that you don’t want to hang your clothes in.If you could leave the windows wide open all day, maybe this smell would blow away naturally, but because we are on the ground floor, you cannot, so it stays.Sometimes, because it is summer and such is life, the bins start to smell. Since you can only have the windows open when you are home, at night, this means sometimes the choice is to lock the damp smell in or let the bin smell in. I chose the damp smell for the two days this was a problem.The third smell, and the worst, is from the drains in the bathroom. There is no ventilator in the bathroom, so the only two choices are to try and lock the smell and damp IN the bathroom (bad news long term) or to let the damp and smell into the apartment, to battle for supremacy with the other two smells.I admit: with the window wide open and the ventilator blowing the smells into the courtyard full time (Thank you to Yacine for bringing me a fan - the built in ventilator is very loud and doesn’t work), life is just about bearable, but every day shouldn’t be about this battle. I am here to work, and have to work in the apartment, and the smells hang around in any case, lying on the skin, in my clothes, making my eyes itch: I simply don’t think the apartment is liveable in its current state.On top of this the bed is terrible, rolling downhill at a steep angle so the only place to lie is at the very edge, otherwise you might roll off.Yacine has been very kind, staying in touch and offering assistance, although yesterday he said he would visit, so I waited from 5:30 - 8:30 for him to come, and he didn't - also not the greatest way to spend my time in Lyon.Perhaps today I will see a vision of Marie in my apartment.Bonne fête de l’assomption,Steven-----------------------------------Dear Steven,Thank you for your message.I am very sorry to see that the smell in my flat is not good for you.Usually people like my flat because it is very central, and in summer very confortable because it is not hot inside.There is no need for ventilator, I don’t know why Yacine bring you one, I was not aware of that. Yacine just help me for cleaning and check in, his job is not for technical things.Yes it is located in an old building, yes there is only one window and as it is on the ground floor, yes it is not sunny inside.But for short term location I think this is not a big problem.The button of ventilation is close to the kitchen , you can switch it on and open the window when you go out (you close the blind before). I have done the best in this flat and don’t know what I could make in the future.In winter people use the heater so the air inside is more dry.I don’t know what to say to you.I could propose you another flat but all are booked ..Just maybe inform you that the washing machine is also a dryer , so you can use it to dry your clothes.And maybe if it is still there, in the closet up there is a parfum which you can plug .I hope internet work fine so you can work in the flat.You can also use the phone inside , it is free on mobile and fixes in France.I wish you also a good assomption day.
