Great intensive French courses. I studied here intensively for six months in 2014 and returned and spent all of November 2017 at IULCF when I had a short career break. It was a fantastic experience-- small class sizes, highly interactive, professional, fun and experienced French language teachers. The material comes from a mixture of sources, so it's very flexible. They assess your level at the beginning very thoroughly-- with grammar, listening comprehension, written comprehension, composition and conversation. There is an attendance requirement when you sign up for the intensive courses (which I actually found a bit unreasonable given that there is an exam at the end of each month which can prove whether you understood the material or not). Since 2014, the fees have gone up so that they now match the Alliance Française in cost, and there is a registration fee (there’s one almost everywhere though), but you do get discounts if you sign up for multiple months and all lesson materials are free. I would highly recommend IULCF if you're thinking of starting or improving your French.

I took 3 week intensive french course at IULCF, I absolutely enjoyed it and I have learned so much in such short period. I was in the beginner's class and my teacher was so professional and very patient and respectful with all students who are from different background. The administration office was also very helpful! As a student in IULCF, you are given your student card and have access to school facilities such as library and school canteen (with discount) and as Toulouse is a student friendly city, and in many museums and events, the admission is free or with discounted rate which I made such good use of it! At first I thought it is bit distant from the city center, but the Carmes area is actually very cool and there are many restaurants, cafes to go. I preferred this neighborhood as it is more relaxed and less touristic yet still sit in the center. I'm very happy with my decision to choose here!
