Queens Cemetery de Puisieux
Queen's Cemetery is the largest of four small cemeteries in the Serre/Pusieux area which were created in and around what was the British front line in July 1916. They were created when the Somme battlefields were cleared in the Spring of 1917.It is the final resting place of 311 men, 131 of which are unknown. Today the cemetery is in a field, close to a small wood containing the Sheffield Memorial Park. To access the cemetery you should park at Serre Road N°1 Cemetery and walk about 150 metres to the right where you will see a CWGC signpost to the four cemeteries and Memorial Park. Queens Cemetery is the second cemetery along the track, about 750 metres from the road.
