Tour de la Pucelle

Visited here in 2017. A patron Saint of France spent many cruel months imprisoned in this tour while being tried for her life in 1430 and 31. She was condemned and burned alive at the Place du Vieux-Marche (Old Market Place) located in central Rouen on the 30th of May. Her name was, and is, Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc).According to Mark Twain, she was the youngest person ever to have command of a nation's army, which she did at the age of 17. There is more primary source material attesting to the life and times of Joan of Arc than there is for anyone else who lived prior to the 16th century.
