Centrale hydroélectrique de Mallemort

Today EDF cut my electricity. My contract, and payments, are completely in order. I had to call and wait for 20 minutes for an explanation – by an automated service. I then got on the phone with customer support. They got frustrated at the fact that they couldn’t help me and said “c’est trop complique, et je ne peux pas vous aider”. They couldn’t find my contract…and hung up on me. I was mid-sentence.So here I am – three hours into this mess – on a Monday morning. No call to let me know what was going to happen, no email, nothing. The lack of professionalism from EDF in a time when they should be providing an essential service is appalling. It is difficult to express how disappointing and enraging the entire interaction was. How is it the EDF can wrong clients in such a way and not provide an explanation? How can they display so little patience towards a problem they created?
