Our trip to Normandy and Brittany in September 2017 was perfect from start to finish.Nicolas was a pleasure to work with during the planning process. He listened to what we wanted to see and do. Our itinerary included everything we wanted and lots of extras. He knew the best times to go to the popular attractions, whether early or late, and arranged each day's itinerary accordingly. In addition, he added surprises" to each day. We visited museums and gardens that most US tourists wouldn't see. Each night he arranged a dinner at a lovely local restaurant. We've passed along his suggestions to our friends.One of the best decisions we made in planning our trip was to hire Nicholas to drive us for the week. We discovered Nicolas through the internet and began correspondence about having Nicolas arrange an escorted trip to France for my wife and I. We really had two desires for our trip, experience the French country outside of the large cities, and most importantly experience the World War II Normandy invasions sites. After numerous emails and a couple of lengthy telephone conversations with Nicolas we accepted a proposal covering hotels, guides, admission tickets, and other experiences that included an “appropriate” time in Paris and longer stay in Normandy.The trip Nicolas prepared for us truly exceeded all of our expectations. The Pavillon Fauborg Saint Germain in Paris was wonderful; their location is excellent, the restaurant was superb, their staff friendly and accommodating, we greatly enjoyed our stay there. We thought it could not get better, then Nicolas delivered us to the Hotel Tardif in Bayeux, Normandy. In a word it was perfect. The building, the setting and our room were as we hoped, with genuine local flavor. Anthony and his team are just fantastic, again so nice we really felt at home. They are truly five stars plus.Our first stop in the Norman countryside was with Madame Langin and her farm/calvados operation. What a true treat, I could not imagine a better introduction to Normandy. The local cheeses and her beverages were excellent. I will think of her and Nicolas the next cool evening when sipping her incredible Calvados.Bayeux was a great choice, both for location and for the culinary accoutrements of the town. Four nights of outstanding restaurants, each a little different and each thoroughly enjoyable. The Tapestry is a must see.Then there were the “guides”, but I really do not like using this word to describe them because all were so much more. Nicolas assembled a fantastic team of experts that felt more like friends possessing the wonderful combination of terrific knowledge, enthusiasm and great personalities. Our time with each and all went much too quickly. We could only hope of retaining 10% of the knowledge they shared.The people we met throughout our trip were overall very friendly, not one time did we feel uncomfortable. From our perspective, any other type of reputation French people may have had is much undeserved.Lastly there was Nicolas, who beyond planning, became our companion for the entirety of our trip. He possesses an incredibly valuable, albeit rare, ability to actually listen, for which he is to be greatly admired. He really “heard” our desires for the trip, not just visiting the WWII monuments and attractions, but also the opportunity to experience authentic France and her people. He constructed the perfect experience for us to do so. And frankly, beyond his trip organizational skills, he was far and away the most important and enjoyable part of our “people” experience. From his patience with my feeble attempts at speaking French, to his accommodations of our various requests, he was an absolute joy during our time together. Nicolas, you are an exceptional travel consultant, and just a wonderful person.

Nicholas did a superb job of planning our trip to Provence, France. He took care of locating our lodging in 3 different cities: St. Remy, Avignon, and Aix and all accommodations were well located in the cities and of superior quality.He arranged for excellent tours of several wineries throughout Provence for us. Nicholas also arranged for tours of several art galleries, museums in the region, and a food tour in Avignon that was excellent.
