Chateau du Doux

The most picturesque and perfect setting I have ever been to for a wedding. Abbie, Clive, Karen, Ross and staff were the perfect hosts throughout, always in the background working hard and making sure everything was perfect. We felt totally at home. The rooms were all beautiful, spacious and clean and the food was delicious. I would thoroughly recommend as a wedding venue. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. (28/31July)

For an Australian couple to take the risk and book an amazing wedding venue in France for a large group of family and friends then we certainly won the lottery! Karen, Clive, Abbie and their beautiful family welcomed us and made us feel right at home. The stunning surrounding views distracted from the grandeur of the Chateau where my guests and I truly felt at home for the 5 night stay. No additional request was too much and the breakfast each morning was lovely. We had the most enjoyable stay at the Chateau but also ventured into the nearby town where there is everything you would need! Loved every minute of it, will hopefully return again as it was the best time ever!!!

It has taken us a while to write this as we just didn’t know how to summarise such an incredible weekend into just one paragraph! Here goes…Ant and I got married on April 2nd, 2022. We were the first wedding of the season and the first wedding Abbie, Clive and Karen hosted since they had been closed over the pandemic…and wow, what a way to start the season! We were so excited to try out the new facilities for the first time and the family couldn’t have done enough for us right from the beginning. It was all we dreamed of and more. We feel like we have found extended family at Chateau Du Doux, with Abbie, Clive and Karen making our wedding weekend a truly magical experience. It really is an incredible stunning wedding venue and all the hard work the family have put into the venue over the pandemic whilst the Chateau had to close really shows. It is truly exquisite. One of the first things that drew us in to Chateau Du Doux was the fact that we were able to host all our guests at the venue itself, and what is immediately noticeable is the attention to detail in every room, with them all being decorated to such a high standard making everyone feel at home over the weekend. I cannot recommend a wedding at Chateau Du Doux highly enough and I wish we could relive it all over again! Xxx

Our wedding weekend at Chateau du Doux was the weekend of a lifetime!Myself and my husband got married here at Chateau du Doux in July 2023.From our very first encounter with Abbie and her family, we were made to feel extremely welcome and special. Throughout the whole process of organising a visit and waiting for us to arrive, Abbie was so helpful and supportive and we instantly knew upon meeting her and the team that this was the place we wanted to get married.The venue and grounds are absolutely beautiful, the location at the top of the hill offers breath-taking views over the Dordogne valley but most importantly, we were made to feel so comfortable and welcome - this is what sold the venue to us.We booked our 4 day wedding weekend for July after first visiting in September. The team were incredibly committed to helping us source suppliers and they gave us a full list of recommendations and assisted us in communicating with some where there was a language barrier. The wedding package is fantastic but on top of this there was so many options of additional packages and services that would enhance the weekend for us and our guests. The team really support their guests with the planning and ensure everything is in order well before arrival.Once we arrived at the chateau for our wedding we were instantly made to feel special, no request was too much to ask and every single detail was completed with care, love and passion for what they do. The venue was pristine, the grounds were immaculate and every request we had made was covered!Throughout the weekend, the team were on-hand to support us with anything that we needed but very much left us to it and really made us feel as though the place was our own. Our guests were comfortable, well fed and could not compliment the venue and service enough.The wedding day ran so smoothly and both myself and my husband felt so relaxed and calm about the entire event. The coordination of the day was spot on, the catering was superb (Karen and her team are amazing).The following day we were left to our own devices to enjoy the pool, the weather and the catering the team put on for us. This was provided for us by Marco, who was sensational. If we needed anything, the team were on hand to help us but we felt so relaxed like it was our own home - a feeling that is difficult to create for 60 people away from home!In summary, if you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere for your wedding in a beautiful setting with a team around you that have fantastic attention to detail and will work hard to ensure your day is the most special it can be, look no further than Chateau du Doux. We cannot speak more highly of them and the service they provided for us. We will forever be grateful for the work they put into our wedding and both us and our guests have left with nothing but compliments of the venue and service. We could not fault a single thing.Abbie, Karen, Clive and Ross have left a huge impression on our hearts and we cannot thank them enough for a truly sensational wedding and weekend.

What an incredible place! I visited the chateau for a wedding and I couldn't have had a better experience. Not only the whole property is a dream, but the family who own and run the chateau are the friendliest and most helpful people. I'm a wedding photographer so I visit plenty of venues each year, and chateau du Doux has become an instant favourite.

I don’t even know where to being, Chateau du Doux is just magical. The venue itself is magnificent and the Young family are so wonderful and helped make our wedding experience. From the moment we enquired Abbie was so reliable, friendly and personable to communicate with, she instilled so much faith in us and we even booked the venue without seeing it in person! We were able to visit a year ahead of our wedding and the Chateau was even more spectacular than we could’ve imagined, every room and apartment is immaculate and filled with charm! The grounds are also so impeccably kept. The Young family were so personable and made us feel so welcome on both our visit and on our wedding weekend. Each member of the Young family and other members of the team working on our wedding weekend went over and above for us and our guests. The Chateau felt like ours for the full weekend and the exclusivity of it being only us and our guests made it so hard to imagine anyone else getting married there (in the best way possible!) From start to finish we can’t thank the Young family enough and Chateau du Doux will hold the most special place in our heart forever. A dream come true.

Just an incredible venue. The host catered for our every need with the rooms being spacious, cool and the beds comfortable.The views are stunning and the pool a lovely way to keep cool in the summer heat.You feel like you can truly disconnect form the world around you and slow down.I cannot recommend enough!!!!!

Nous avons passé 8 jours en famille dans ce coin de paradis, sur une colline qui surplombe la vallée de la Dordogne. L’appartement Beaulieu refait à neuf est très agréable. Excellent rapport qualité/prix. L’accueil a été fantastique.We spent wonderful time in the Château du Doux. The Dordogne Valley landscape is really beautiful, the Beaulieu apartment is nice. Great value for money. The owners offered a unique welcome.

If you're looking for the perfect wedding venue in France... you've found it. Chateau du Doux is STUNNING and the staff are the best in the business. Abbie is great at what she does and is helpful and responsive; she helped us plan our dream wedding in just 5 months. The whole family are so lovely and welcoming. We can't recommend them enough!

Absolutely stunning wedding venue, ran by the nicest family!We can’t thank Abbie, Karen, Kat and the team enough, we had the most amazing wedding and weekend. Everything was perfect, and all of our guests commented on how good the service and food was.
