PEGORIER CHARPENTE

Pegorier Charpenté did a tremendous job replacing three very large wooden balconies. The balconies were originals from when the Chalet was built in 1974. They had lasted well but were getting quite rotten, and had become irreparable.Bertrand Pegorier (the proprietor) is a straight-talking highly skilled craftsman. And he did everything to ensure that we fully understood his designs and proposal. There were options on the wood, although mélèze (larch) was the sensible choice. The balconies were designed and crafted to ensure that water did not easily sit on the wood, this will help ensure that they are long lasting. The wood was also pre-treated to match the existing wood, thereafter mélèze needs no further treatment.Bertrand is a hard worked and this work ethic is passed on to his team. We weren't in the chalet when the work was being done, but were happy to just let them get on with it, as we knew that with Bertrand's management, that the job would be good.We would not hesitate to recommend Pegorier Charpenté for any chalet construction work or reparation.
