As a Covid-bride-to-be who had to cancel her dream wedding, I must admit that when my finance and I decided to elope in Paris, I felt like I was “settling” for something less than the fairy-tale. When we first began our search for Paris elopement planners, we were overwhelmed with cookie-cutter websites and offers of tiered wedding packages to choose from. My heart was sinking, when the stars aligned and I came across the stunning work of Leticia Williams. Within the first 5 minutes of our initial video consultation with Leticia, I knew she was going to be the one to help us plan and execute our special day.After learning that we had been forced to cancel our initial wedding plans, Leticia took this into careful consideration as she helped us create the perfect Paris wedding. Knowing our Covid “back-story”, she did everything she could to make the process as stress-free as possible. After we initially told her what we were envisioning for the day, she helped tweak our ideas to create the PERFECT wedding-day venue and timeline. She thoughtfully reviewed the pros-cons of our choices for everything from florists and musicians to photographers and vintage car rentals, and only recommended the best vendors. She was also incredibly considerate of the time difference between the United States and Europe when scheduling our calls.When we arrived in Paris, Leticia sent us a lengthy list of recommendations for restaurants, museums, and things to do throughout the city, including a description of each recommended venue and the reasoning behind her personal recommendation. She also took the time to meet us in person prior to our wedding day for a wedding venue tour, gave us her personal cell number for questions, and took us out for celebratory champagne.The day of the wedding was like something out of a fairytale. We were married on the balcony of the Shangri-La Hotel amid an explosion of subtle florals and air filled with the sweet melodies of a string ensemble, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. I cannot even express the amount of attention to detail that Leticia put into every minute of this day. It was perfect in every way. When we started this process, I never dreamed that we could create another dream wedding, but with Leticia’s help, we did! Leticia was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is simultaneously both highly professional and charmingly personal, combining high-class taste with hard working persistence. Our wedding this past summer was nothing short of our dream wedding. The two of us could not have been happier with every moment of the weekend (all of which Leticia coordinated). Starting with an evening cruise on the Seine complete with several courses of hors d’œuvres, through a beautiful rehearsal dinner on Saturday that in our view returned the Chateau de Vallery to its intended renaissance splendor, to the wedding day in which everything passed gracefully without a hitch, to call the weekend perfect would be an insulting understatement - our guests commented on multiple occasions that it was amazing how the whole weekend seemed to simply flow from one beautiful moment to another.Leticia gets the big picture, she took the time to understand both what we wanted and why, making sure at every point that our wedding was a reflection of us as a couple. She also gets the details, and efficiently focuses her time on what matters. The end result is something truly beautiful.It’s very rare to find a wedding planner that goes above and beyond in all categories – from the design to the vendor selection and correspondence to the day of coordination, Leticia made sure that every detail was perfectly orchestrated down to the very last rose petal, always considering how to make all parties satisfied with the end result. Throughout the weekend, we did not spend a single moment worrying about anything except for our guests because Leticia and her team had it all under control.Her fluency in both English and French was extraordinarily beneficial. Our wedding was composed of around 50 Americans and 4 Parisians. Colin (the groom) speaks French, but no one else in either of our families speaks French. Leticia’s ability to liaise with our vendors (all of whom were French) while communicating with us and our guests in English was exceedingly helpful. The ability to decide precisely on the countless minute details for our wedding with a native English speaker who understands and can perfectly blend American and French wedding traditions and then knowing with full confidence that she would be able to communicate our desires exactly to the French counterparty held immense value. Combining this with the big picture and detail abilities referenced above, you get to the ideal wedding planner. This goes without saying, but given her French fluency and extensive experience, we would recommend her for French-speaking weddings as well (as mentioned above, the groom speaks fluent French and can therefore attest to her abilities here).We both genuinely enjoyed spending time with Leticia - an artist, designer, planner, psychologist, coordinator, and friend. She helped make a process that is inevitably stressful into a period in our lives that both of us loved, and we will forever cherish all the fun moments we got to spend with her. We are genuinely sad not to have an excuse to call her weekly because of all the joy she brought to our lives.We emphatically recommend Opaline and Leticia to anyone planning a wedding in France. She took upon herself all of the stress and the responsibility for all of these integrated plans, executing them flawlessly, graciously and always with a smile.
