Bouroullec Fountains

Probably the ugliest and most pointless group of fountains in Paris. These huge metal structures spin around like lazily designed Calder mobiles and serve very little practical or artistic purpose. The water is pouring downwards, so heat scorched onlookers can't even relieve themselves. The lack of detail on these fountains is so apparent, that the adjacent public lamp post has more artistic merit. Whatever the Bouroullec brothers earned in commissions to design these fountains should be immediately confiscated and put back into the public treasury. Should Paris city council ever vote for urban renewal, I respectfully submit that these fountains are not worthy of preservation, and their respective parts should be immediately recycled as scrap metal.

Hortible fountains. Why woud someone use crystals for such ugly sculture? Why in the middle of such beautiful place?
