Chef Lyon

Nous avons eu l’occasion de faire un atelier pour la réalisation de Raviolis avec le chef Thierry Rodolphe ! Nous ne pouvons que recommander , le chef nous a apporté sa connaissance et son savoir-faire. Nous avons ensuite dégusté nos réalisations avec lui dans son restaurant, dans un cadre intimiste. Superbe expérience !

I found Chef Thierry’s “market tour, cooking and lunch with Chef” class on EatWith’s website that was so much fun, informative and a learning experience that exceeded my expectations. We went to the market to buy our produce, meats, bread. Chef Thierry had cheese and wine waiting for us to indulge while cooking and eating the food we prepared.Chef Thierry’s easygoing style of educating us in French style cooking has given me the confidence that I can replicate and build upon our lunch menu of: Warm Chicken liver pate, French onion soup without the cheese but classically made with creme on the bread, chicken in a vinegar, red wine creme sauce, and a Lyonnaise praline tart specialty of Lyon.This has been one of the best cooking experiences. You can’t go wrong with learning, eating amazing food, getting to know and sharing the experience with new people from other parts of the world. I’m so happy I decided to take the class. Many thanks to Chef Thierry for this memorable experience in Lyon❣️

Thierry Rodolphe is a cooking genius! I asked our Virtuoso travel agent, Jan Schyer, to find us a French cooking class in Lyon to do after our Rhone river cruise. Jan hit a home run with Thierry. He reached out to us the evening prior and we met him at a local cafe where he bought us expresso then off to the open market! It was wonderful- he showed us all the fresh vegetables, fruits, cheese, meat and seafood. Thierry carefully picked the prime produce then we were off to the boulangerie for amazing fresh bread. Then we went though a traboule ( secret passage way) to his private flat where he had a variety of local cheeses awaiting us along with some delicious local wine. There were four other visitors along with my wife and me for the personal cooking class. Thierry made us feel very welcome then took his time to instruct us on the proper way to cut up a chicken. We worked in teams and each team did a fresh chicken. Next we worked on the chicken liver pate and onion soup, all the while he regaled us with cooking tips and stories. He made sure that we had adequate wine and then instructed us in the preparation of recette tarte pralines. I was assigned to browning and stirring the poulette aux morilles et crema- dreamy aromas.The best part was when all 7 of us sat down to savor our mouth watering meal together. It was definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Lyon. Thierry welcomed us, instructed us, laughed with us and entertained us at his table. Clearly an exceptional experience and I would HIGHLY ( 5 star) recommend this experience, even to folks like me who don't often cook. Bon appetit!

What a lovely experience with Chef Lyon. The pastries we made were delicious. I love to bake and he showed us many simple tricks I did not know. My husband had a great time and was also very impressed. He gave us lots of time and he was very a pleasant and gracious host! Would highly recommend

Nous avons testé le brunch du dimanche : varié et copieux, avec même des légumes mis en valeur et adorés par les enfants ! La soupe était top et le poulet trop bon (1000fois meilleur que Kfc) ! Le chef est accueillant et le serviceimpeccable.Mention spéciale au gentil serveur qui nous a rattrapés car nous avions oublié notre trottinette.

Nous sommes peut-être tombés le mauvais soir. Après une entrée irréprochable, le cordon bleu a été une grosse déception. De même quand il n'y a plus eu assez de crêpes pour 4 personnes au dessert. La carte des vins en revanche est intéressante, le risotto plutôt bon et le lieu est visuellement agréable.

Expérience culinaire exceptionnelle avec ce chef talentueux! Son cours de cuisine était instructif et amusant, créant une atmosphère conviviale. Nous avons apprécié non seulement apprendre à cuisiner, mais aussi déguster nos créations ensemble. Recommande vivement pour une aventure gastronomique mémorable !

Took Chef Lyon's pastry class and it was amazing! Learned a lot of tips and tricks that I can apply on the pastries I make at home. His casual approach to baking definitely makes it less intimidating to beginners like myself. I highly recommend this! I will definitely be taking his cooking class next time I'm in Lyon!
