Une école à la pédagogie vraiment remarquable !

A great school, your kid will love going to school, learn, enjoy music and this is a gift for life.

Most parents who have sent their children to school at Koenig had negative experiences or were generally unimpressed. (You will notice very high turnover in the student body, even mid-year owing to parental dissatisfaction). But somehow the reviews on Google don’t reflect that. So I’m writing my experience for other parents benefit.1. The school has a massive deficit in leadership and oversight. It feels like it’s run like a casual summer camp.2. Disorganisation to the extreme. Whenever I volunteered I was shocked to see classrooms of children left without adult supervision for 30 minutes at a time. (I was assigned to another classroom) During field trips, food, water and punctuality were an after-thought. They were always so badly prepared, it was outrageous. I shudder to think how they organise themselves when there are no parents around to observe.3. 3 of my child’s classmates departed school from one day to the next and there were lots of rumours around why the parents pulled their children out so hastily. The school never addressed it and we were left wondering what the other parents knew about our children’s experiences at school that we didn’t.4. The end of year show… I have no words. The children were sitting on the stage for over 2 hours prior to the show commencing because the school wanted to make multiple speeches and presentations asking for more money. The children were tired, thirsty and restless but the sales pitch went on for ages. The children’s well-being wasn’t even remotely a concern- representative of the general culture at the school. Worrying for any school.5. I observed multiple loud arguments between the staff and the administration at pick up.It’s an absolute shame that the school is so poorly run because the music teacher is the absolute best and the concept is wonderful. However, the school has completely forgotten their raison d’être.

Super expérience avec nos deux enfants qui y ont fait leur maternelle à 6 ans d intervalle.Familial, bilingue et musical, bienveillant…nous continuons sur l école de musique !

We had a very mixed experience with this school. The teachers are kind and try to provide a nurturing environment but they change frequently, which is a red flag. Parents are drawn in by the music component which is a great idea, but sadly the school administration and implementation of the program is deeply problematic. They seem unprepared for the task of running a school yet act as if they know best and parents should trust them blindly. The administration is very condescending and insulting to parents. The founder acts as if the school is doing families a favor by letting their child attend. They claim to be an inclusive school but don't seem to know what that means as they attempt to exclude children as soon as any problem arises. We are still dealing with the trauma caused by my family's experience at Koenig and I know we're not alone. Based on our experience there, and the stories I've heard from other parents, I cannot recommend this school.

L'Ecole Koenig Preschool est comme une famille dans laquelle les professeurs sont dévoués, l’enseignement de qualité et les enfants solidaires et unis par un esprit de corps. Pour les parents, il est aisé de communiquer avec les enseignants et l'équipe dirigeante, et appréciable que ces derniers soient à leur écoute.

Nous avons inscrit notre fils à l'Ecole Koenig après le premier confinement et nous sommes ravis.L'école fournie une excellente éducation bilingue dans un cadre multiculturel.La petite taille de la structure permet un suivi de chaque enfant dans une ambiance bienveillante.

Good bilingual programs in music during the holidays

Une école à taille humaine avec des professeurs très engagés et une équipe de professionnels très impliqués et compétents. Les enfants sont épanouis dans une école à l'environnement bienveillant, dotée d'une pédagogie innovante, ouverte sur le Monde et la musique.

Our daughter had the chance to go there the last year of her Maternelle, after coming from abroad. She adapted perfectly during this covid time(2020) thanks to the kindness, the fun, the good energy of all the staff and obviously the power of Music! This has no price for us. We thank Koenig School for everything they gave and build to us and are still talking with a lot of nostalgia about it.
