Trois déception de suite avec ces vins. Pommard 2014. Savigny les beaunes 2009. Volnay 2014. Plats sans reliefs. Aucunes typicités. Indistincts à l'aveugle. Même robe. Même nez. Aucune longueur en bouche. Douteux...

Belle maison et excellent accueil

Un domaine très attractif et qui mérite sa réputation de sérieux et de qualité. Beaucoup apprécié les blancs Les belles filles " et le rouge "Les Jarrons""

Une vraie dégustation comme on les aime. Un accueil très sympa, de la disponibilité sur de nombreuses appellations. Nous avons trouvé ce qu'on était venu chercher.

Alan Govier or whatever sure doesn't have any taste in wine. Not sure where he's coming from but certainly not anywhere near Burgundy.Jean-Jacques Girard's wines are fruitful, tasty and overall one of the best red Burgundy I've come to experience.Globalement les vins, du Pinot au Lavandière 1er cru étaient un régal, Vincent Girard nous a accueilli pour près de deux heures de dégustation durant lesquels nous avons pu échanger sur le vignoble, la région mais aussi le vin et la vinification en général.Clairement l'une de mes meilleures (la meilleure ?) expériences que j'ai pu avoir au sein d'un domaine.

We have been buying superb wines from the Girard family since 1994. We discovered this outstanding estate through Hugh Johnson. The Girard wines are among the best Burgundies we know. Yesterday, on our way home to London, we popped in unannounced at 9.30 in the morning. We were fully prepared not to be received. Instead we were instantly made welcome and came away with as much wine as we were allowed by new UK import rules. When we first bought Jean-Jacques Girard's Savigny-les-Beaune in the 1990s it was a revelation. At the time this appellation was not as well known as it is now, but J-J G's wines (I remember the superb 1993, and yes, the wines were indeed 'morbifuges' and 'théologiques' as it stated on the label then) were already at the very top. The Girard family wines are not only among the best you will find but they are also excellent value for money. As Hugh Johnson notes, it is the viticulteur as much as the vineyard that makes great wines. When we first met J-JG he was a young man. We too were young then. Our enthusiasm for this archi-sympatique estate has not waned. We were delighted to discover the Girard wines on the wine list of our London Club, the Athenaeum.Thank you again for the matutinal welcome and for making of our journey home back an affectionate memoryA la prochaine.René Weis, London
