Etang du Planchon - Carp Fishing lake/ Pêche à la carpe

Première pêche à l'étang du planchon pour 4 jours. Très belle découverte , jolie site avec un acceuil très chaleureux.Merci aussi pour les conseils sur la pêche !!Avec un nouveau gros record pour mon pere de +26kg !!!Je recommande !! A bientôt

Excellent gîte, avec tout le confort nécessaire et tous les accessoires! L'accueil est super, avec panier garni et frigo remplis de premières nécessités ! Pas venus pour la pêche mais pour le cadre reposant et verdoyant! Les enfants ont adore la méga structure de jeux! Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute et attentionnés!

Great fishing experience. I have visited Etang Du Planchon twice now. Once in 2012 and again in 2019. Both times have been a great experience. The lake owners Angelo and Kiran go to great lengths to ensure their guests are looked after and are always on hand 24/7 to assist with anything you need. The fish in the lake are beautiful specimens. A large population of mirror carp and a good few common carp for variety in your catches. The lake was closed for a few years between 2015 and this year for some changes - adding tree cover on western Bank of the lake, etc and not fished during that period. The fish have grown considerably during those years and average weight is around 45lb I would say. My best fish from this year's trip was a magnificent 50lb 8oz common carp. During my week long trip I had a total of 11 carp with most in the 40lb - 50lb bracket. Aside from the fishing, I must say that the hospitality of the owners is first class also. If you opt for the meal package, you will get a hearty breakfast and a lovely main meal each evening. Kiran will discuss with you in advance what your tastes are and will plan meals for you accordingly, which is a nice touch and certainly not a like it or lump it menu that a lot of places offer. Angelo and Kiran are also always on hand to help you at the bankside too and you are provided with a walkie talkie so you can keep in touch with them and let them know when you have a catch. Any fish over 40lb must be handled in the water (for photos, etc). Some anglers may not like this but personally I appreciated the assistance with these big fish. So all in all, a fantastic week's fishing as always and even better now that the fish have grown considerably of the last few years. I have no problem recommending this lake if you want a fantastic week's fishing fir big French carp.

This is Daniel bingham ( a long time fan of fishing, and Etang du planchon) 6 years its taken to get back to fishing at this fantastic place and agan it proved to be the venue of a life time ! Due to high temperatures and spawning fish the lake proved to be challenging !. With the help of kiran and angelo we still managed to land fish with me myself breaking my personal best twice !The services provided are second to none and the help and knowledge of the lake by kiran and Ang is instrumental ! Great week guys cant wait to see you again next year !!

Superb owners. Superb home cooked food. Amazing family run fishery with some special Carp. Recently Re-Ramped with major changes to the lake has resulted in a very special, personal fishing experience. Highly, highly recommended.
