The Mermaids at Versailles - Mermaids of Earth | The Gardens of Versailles were created in the mid-to-late 1600s. Right next to the Palace of Versailles is a small section of the gardens called Parterre du Nord, which includes two circular pools with Tritons and Nereids, and another pool with the baroque Pyramid Fountain.

Not working in winter but still pretty.I can only imagine how beautiful it will be when the fountain is working.A good reason to come back in summer, especially as the entrance to this marvellous garden is free of charge.

The pyramid fountain consists of four marble bowls one on top of the other, which are held in place with lead sculptures in the form of dolphins, crayfish and tritons. The fountain is located in the northern part of the Versailles palace gardens and it took more than three years to build.

Il faut prende le temps de voir les différent jeux d'eau qui sorte de la fontaine avec un thème musical à l'arrière, on peut prendre une pause dans les marche en face et avoir une magnifique vue en prenant le dîner
