Magnifique lieu ! Amoureuse des châteaux j’ai adoré l’architecture qui a gardé son charme au fil du temps. Avec la décoration de l’époque sur les murs et l’escalier qui en met plein les yeux ! Bien situé, isolé entouré de son parc boisé apporte le calme.Nous avons peu profité du spa avec des masseuses au top !

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming chateau in Saumur during our vacation, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the impeccable cleanliness and the well-maintained property. The beautiful pool added an extra touch of luxury to our stay.The rooms themselves were nothing short of grand and impressive, seamlessly blending historical charm with modern comfort. It was evident that great care had been taken to preserve the chateau's rich history while providing all the amenities one could desire.What truly set this experience apart, however, were the gracious owners, Jeremy and Flore. Their warm and personable nature made us feel like welcomed guests in their home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.The location of the chateau was ideal, allowing us to explore the area on foot and discover the many attractions Saumur had to offer. This was undoubtedly a highlight of our cycling tour, and we wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone visiting the region. It's a rare gem that combines history, comfort, and hospitality in a way that makes for an unforgettable experience.

Simply Wonderful!My partner and I have recently returned from a six night stay in a Junior Suite at Chateau La Marquis. The pictures don’t do it justice. It really is a beautiful home which has been carefully restored and renovated, yet all still in keeping. There is a wonderful warm atmosphere and being relatively small with just 10 bedrooms, guests receive a very personable service.Jeremy and Flore the owners work extremely hard and have a fantastic team of staff with them. Nothing is too much trouble and you can genuinely make yourself at home here.The location is terrific. Plenty of parking, great views, beautiful room, lots of space, a fabulous pool, spa area with sauna and jacuzzi and all 10 mins walk into the main centre. You couldn’t ask for more.There is plenty to do in the area, from vineyard tours, cycling, exploring chateau’s etc. A silly stunning venue in a fabulous region of France. You won’t be disappointed. Un lieu à couper le souffle qui dégage une atmosphère absolument unique, voilà ce que nous retiendrons de notre séjour. Nous y avons passé une très belle nuit avec notre fille de 20 mois, d’ailleurs c’est un lieu très accueillant pour les familles. Il ne faut pas hésiter une seconde quand on recherche un endroit pour dormir à Saumur dans un lieu de charme, c’est une vraie perle!

Wonderful experience. We are French ex-pats living in the U.S. and we found the hotel standards, including generous suite size, to be very high by both European and American standards. The owners and staff are exceptionally professional, helpful, and friendly. The facilities are lovely, breakfast buffets are delicious, and while the weather did not permit us to make use of the very inviting outdoor pool, we were able to walk around the park-like grounds and take advantage of the spa offerings. An absolute delight - we will most certainly be back!

Loved every moment in this fabulous Chateau which must have witnessed so much in its long life. These are glorious days for Château La Marquise whose owners, Flore and Jeremy and their team are making a visit here an absolute treat. Really special. The welcome is warm, and we felt like house guests for our entire stay. Our suite was stylish and 'enormous' and we were invited to explore the fabulous grounds... which we did. We swan in the wonderful pool, we relaxed, we enjoyed evening drinks and we felt very fortunate to be here.What a wonderful place!

We stayed at this hotel in late September and absolutely loved it; it is located in central Saumur with plenty of secure parking.Our room (#307) was beautiful, retaining the style of the building whilst being well furbished. The room was airy, with a large comfy bed, desk, sofa and plenty of clothes storage. The bathroom had both bath and shower.There are several lounge/bar areas downstairs and a large breakfast room. Breakfast has everything you could imagine including hot options (bacon and eggs) which is quite unusual in France. There were plenty of pastries, cheeses, charcuterie, juices and fruit to choose from too.Above all the team at the hotel are fantastic. Happy to recommend restaurants and activities around Saumur and, in our case, find us a garage, take us to/from the garage and communicate with the garage, when we had car trouble. Flore and Jeremy really go above and beyond.We will definitely be back and would highly recommend Hotel Chateau la Marquise.

An amazing small hotel, we had 3 nights and cannot speak highly enough. Step back in time to elegant surroundings. Consider this more of a home than a hotel, you are made to feel at home by the owners. Great location.

Excellent séjour ! Le lieu est magnifique, tant le parc que le bâtiment. Les chambres sont superbes, propres, bien équipées, rien à dire !Et l’expérience était parfaite : l’équipe est ultra présente et dévouée (merci Marie, Flore), on a accès à tous les espaces du château (dont une magnifique piscine), et il y a des espaces « salon » a l’extérieur partout dans le parc.Bref, je me suis senti à la fois détendu et « a la maison » et à la fois dans un lieu de luxe et d’histoire, foncez vous ne serez pas déçus !
