Wonderful family owned and operated cafe with classic French menu. We walked in on a rainy evening and were immediately welcomed. Our server (I believe one of the owners) was gracious when I ordered in French (well, I attempted to as I started French lessons 6 weeks ago so it was a lil rough). Menu is written on a chalkboard and other customers were mainly French which seems like a good sign to me. Food is good and prices are very good. Two entrees, two glasses of wine, two cokes and two cappuccinos for €56. As other reviews mentioned- cash only! Will definitely return…

This small,authentic restaurant is the best in Paris for me and my partner. It is my first time in this place but captured my heart for having that homey, comfortable feels. As the food has been served,made me even want more. Their beef dishes were fantasitc. Very nicely done beef steak which is locally produced from France. It is cooked with love as if you have a homedish from your family. They also do their own cakes which are wonderful with different variety everytime. Patrick who runs the bar knows just exactly which drinks and wine will be perfect for the meal you had. People who keeps visiting be omes acquitances and even friends. If you want a real French experience,never miss this place.

Cute location inside the Marais neighborhood. The food was good and the owners were nice, but, FYI, they do not speak English, so come prepared to read a menu written only in French. Also, just like in any other restaurant in Paris, avoid to order bottled water, because they charge a lot for it. Finally, be aware that this restaurant accepts only cash (the sign at the entrance Pas CB" means: no credit or debit cards)."

Had a perfect lunch (coq au vin with the matching wine) with a wonderful ambiance. Locals go here and it has a familiar feel with typical dishes made with love.Truly a great experience with friendly hosts and I was even able to practice my French.Will recommend this charming place to my friends and will return on my next visit to Paris. Merci beaucoup! ❤️PS: remember to bring cash, as there is no card payment.

Tiny traditional mom&pop restaurant (24 chairs in summer,18 indoors). Loved by locals,therefore crowded during lunch breaks (12-2pm). The menu is an A4-sized board of about 10 items. Prepare mentally that 1) mom&pop are not in a hurry and you shouldn't be either and 2) it's cash only.

The best cappuccino I’ve had in paris in a long while, that too in the warm homely ambience in a place which is becoming way too touristy in Paris.Evelyn, her husband and friends run this place for 40 years. Indeed charming and old world so expect to bring your cash and take in the ambience, the homemade treats it’s worth it.

This is a hidden gem in paris. Simple food but with excellent produce & taste. The people are very friendly. You need to visit this to have a very good authentic meal. My wife and i love this one.

Franchement pas bon du tout ! même pour des choses aussi simple que quiche et omelette, salade en sachet…Vaisselle salle !!!! Patron qui tire la gueule et pas un mot pfffPas de cbAtterris là par dépit car trop de queue pour aller en face, Une fois mais pas deux, il vaut vraiment mieux faire la queue mais bien manger et être bien accueillis au Loir dans la théière !

It’s a really local cafe with great food and lovely owners. I ordered a cup of coffee and an apple pie. They were both good. Although cash only is not convenient enough, I still give them 5 stars.
